Does anyone know any relatively good software to use for taking notes? Sometimes, my classes allow me to bring my laptop. If you have any good suggestions for free software to take notes, I would really appreciate your comments. I have heard of a software called Tomboy for note taking, but I have never really used it before. Are there other software that are much better than this one? Or should I just use this one?

One suggestion that I have is a product called Evernote. It functions on the PC/Mac, on the Web, and from a smartphone. It will allow you to embed pictures, voice, and text into notes. I use it when I am on the go from my Android phone and then use the notes when I reach my office and continue the train of thinking.
