Just hear my excitement, so I made sure I was home in time for it.
My Mom is making macroni and cheese, like when we were kids. Its delicious and creamy (which is why I wasnt missing it).
My Brother is the pickiest eating on the face of this earth, but again its probably because he doesnt pay for his won food, and understand the cost of it. Now if you make it a certain way and then he will throw it out, take a big plate worth then take one bite and throw it out.
I was giving the cats a treat I bought when he took a fit, saying about the brand of cheese. Because I told her she could use up the second pack fo the cheapier no name brand because it tastes bad with my crackers but cooked its fine.
He wants Black Diamond and all we had was cheese slices Kraft adn Velveeta (which were mine), and the No Name cheese I said she could use up.

We had a saying at church camp, etc. but it applies here as well. "Eat what you want, but eat all that you take." Someone needs to teach that boy some manners and some cold hard facts.

I agree, you can always go for seconds but dont leave any on your plate. While we were growing up if we didnt like the way something was made we got a piece of toast with butter if we were lucky. But none of the rules apply to him, and we bend over backwards for him which I will never do.

If someone tried to waste food in my home like that, there's a pretty good chance that they would get a serving spoon upside the head. Okay, not literally... However, by the time that I was finished chewing them out about food waste, they would likely wish that I had just smacked them upside the head with a serving spoon.

Its ridiculous how much he waste of everything but then again he isnt paying for it. I grew up with a girl who acted just like him, she never finished high school, and at 24 everyone still pays her way in the world.
If I was paying for the food Id take the food away and tell them to starve.

Geez. My dad would have said if you don't like it, then don't it - which means you won't be eating at all then. We grew up with him telling us how we needed to eat anything that was given to us - no complaints . . . because what happens if there's a war and what if that's all you had - you have no choice. Either eat or starve - your choice. Your brother sounds like he's way spoiled!

I would love to try different kinds of cheese in macaroni & cheese. I think there was a white kind of cheese but I forget what kind they said it was that someone used that seemed to be very good, but I never got to taste it. My mom loves the way she makes her but it is alittle too rich for my tastes, she puts a ton of butter, milk and cheese in it and they liked the top very crunchy and even somewhat hardened and I can't eat it that way so I leave the top for them. Oh my brother has been picky with food al his life and he won't mind a different food on rare occasional but mostly likes food made the same way all the time, which is rather bland and boring. Also he eats very little veggies and to much of the bad stuff. I doubt he takes any vitamins either so lord knows how bad his health is, he doesn't go to the dr either.

It is really nice when the family can sit down together for a meal. I miss that with my family now. I have seen a number of people that spoil the youngest child of the family. It is hard to understand why they treat the youngest the way they do. If they only knew just how much they are hurting that youngest child by treating them the way your parents are treating your brother. If your brother were eating at my house and demanded the cheese he did I would tell him to get a job and go buy it himself. I raised 4 kids and they all had jobs through high school except the youngest one. I did encourage her to get a job because her older sister made poor grade and I blamed it on her working after school. Big mistake.

Sounds like to me that your brother is spoiled rotten & needs to grow up. I'm not sure just how old your brother is, but if he is old enough to get a job I have to wonder why he doesn't have one. Your parents aren't doing him any favors by allowing him to live off of them. If anything were to happen to them how would he take care of himself? Life is hard & as my Mom always used to tell me, "If you want something in this world then you'll have to work for it because no one is going to just hand it over to you on a silver platter." Trust me when I say that she was right. Everything my husband & I have we've had to work for.
