Why Prayer is Important?

You are absolutely right.In fact,our life should be a prayer in itself.We all are creation of God,and so He is our creator,our Father,our parent.Remaining in touch with our creator is necessary for us.It is our duty.Remaining in contact with God saves us from all evils.And the only way to remain in His touch is prayer.It is therefore that prayer is important.

Prayer and talking to God is important to me because it keeps me in balance with everything else. i feel like talking to God is like talking to a friend who listens to me and does not complain, it eases me off my pain and gives me comfort that no one else can give for me.

Prayer and a close relathionship wth God is very important. It's sad that there is so much evil in this world right now.

According to Martin Luther "To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing." So when you are a Christian it is not possible that you don't pray. If you are not praying it means you are not a Christian at all. If one is indeed a Christian he will pray not only in times of trouble but even in times of peace.A Christian prays everyday whatever his condition is. If one does not communicate with God at all, it means he is not one of His children.

Prayer is important because it's communication with God, and it's something I need to do more often, I am getting better at reading my Bible every day, I don't pray as much as I should.

Well, my afternoon was not cold. It was pretty hot. It's summer where I live and nice and toasty. As for prayer, I agree with you completely. A lot of people don't put much importance in it, but I certainly do. I'm grateful God gives us a way to communicate with Him.

Amen litvillegas, indeed these are trying times and we need ot continue to draw closer to God so that we can find the courage and strenght when we are best round about with trails and tribulaitons. While it si true thta some people only seems to remember God when they are sick or something is going wrong, we need to come to Him daily and ask for strength, courage and wishdom each and every day to face what we have to face.

Many of us believed in the power of prayer. The Bible though simply explains it as the "Power of God". It is also a measurement of our faith whether or not God will answer our prayers. And even we lack faith, sometimes God do answer our prayers. It is the power of prayer that keeps us strong in face of dangers and difficulties. It gives us hope in times of danger and sometimes, it is all you need to tackle the dangers of life.

I don't have a religion but i think praying is very good,it looks like a cure to make people calm down, slowly living for a while...

Prayer is indeed very important, it's a lifeblood in our spirit and soul. Prayer is talking with God not talking to God. It's through prayer that we're able to obey the will of God for us. Prayer is important because in this world we are facing battles not in physical but spiritual. In this realm Satan can enter and has the power to manipulate other people ( well actually, Satan can manipulate someone with the consent of that person; I guess) so it is through prayer acts our shield against the trap of the devil.

For me, prayer is a way of committing and communicating myself to God. :) He owns me and this world so I have to thank Him for everything that he does. Let's always be close to God.God bless us all. :)

Prayer holds a place of utmost importance in our lives. How we pray is not important, we all have different names for God and we all like to pray differently. But in the end the purpose is same- to stay close and connected to God and spread his love.

I think it is always good to pray to God and prayer helps to get closer with God. I think more we pray to God the more close we get to God. God love us and love us like his children and God is real love.

In building any relationship, communication is very vital. When we're praying, we communicate with God, and contant communication can make us draw closer to Him. Our ability to pray is a great privilege from God. We are able to talk to Him, thank Him for His blessings and ask for forgiveness for ours sins. Praying also makes us differ from animals. If you noticed, animals won't pray before they eat. If you give them food, they would grab and eat it in instant. But we humans have the ability to pray and thank God for our food. It is just sad that most of us do not practice this.

Prayer gives us a proper to fight, to solve the problem or to look at the problem positively. It doesn't gives us an immediate solution. We have to find the solution all by our own efforts and dedication,determination. Over all prayer gives us a total mental peace which is very rare now a days. That is why a prayer is an important in our life.
