Yeah! That's how pop culture thinks since the 80's. The Apple logo is popular for a computer brand of technology. And, its part of an American pride for every family home consumers. No more need to introduced of how it made to the American public because everyone knows. Its more personal use with an Apple logo computer rather than an IBM computers which are specifically use for offices, banks, government only. Apple computer is the real deal for a Personal Computer. Steve Jobs and his friends develop Apple computers right into their own garage. So that, parents can work at their own homes by using Apple computers without living their children at their own homes. Then many American consumer families bought that ideas personally. Because it really works. Then competitions begins by following what Steve Jobs and friends did for the Apple computers.

Personally I have never paid attention. I am sure they are not the only ones used now, but Apple could be paying the companies a little something to use theirs and to help people maybe think about those kind of computers when buying their next one, but interesting thoughts here.

This is a very interesting observation. I never actually noticed this myself, but now that you have given me a reason to think about it I realise that you are correct.
Irrespective of what people's views are concerning the quality of the operating systems, we must all agree that Windows is used on far more laptops than any other system, so this ought to be reflected in the appearance in films and television etcetera.
I can accept the use of Apple or more likely Linux in imaginary government agencies due to the benefits of using command line for the myriad of tasks they perform, but I would expect Windows to be shown regular when for a normal business office or when shown in a home.

Apple is very recognizable and they do make good computers, I'd love to get one but they cost a lot.

to be honest I have never noticed, but it is probably has to do with copyright and that apple has given them permission to show their computers and windows has not.

That seems silly but probably is the case. You'd think Windows would have too.

I'm not sure but Apple is a better machine. Windows gets corrupted easily and Apple does not. It's a high dollar machine but worth every penny.

Used? Not really. They have a big share of the market in th US, but they pay a lot to get in movies or series.
It's not an accident. All companies want to be in a movie, you pay once and you have your logo in there forever.

Perhaps one of the reasons why apple is being used because of its popularity in terms of specs not only in specs but in terms of price. If you can hear the word apple computer the first thing that will come into our mind is wow, it's a nice computer and very expensive as well. Though not all but most people think only affluent people can use apple. Using apple is for status symbol. Another in television is for advisory purposes.

Because windows never focused on hardware until now so you don't see windows logo on the PC from the back but apple as when you see the face of an actor typing some garbish on his PC while you think he is the hacker of this new community.
