Smart Gilas 2.0, which player do they still need in the lineup?

Who are Filipinos here? hehehe Which of you are fans of the Smart Gilas Pilipinas Team? If you are, then I am sure that you have seen the Latest Jones Cup. They won the Gold Medal. hehehe
I would like to ask even though they won the Gold, I think there were players that deserves to be included in the roster. In the Pba, I think either Mark Pingris, Marcio Lassiter or Junmar Fajardo needs to be included in the roster.
How about you? Is the roster used in the Jones Cup already good for Smart Gilas? Do you think there are players that needs to be included in the roster?

Right now, we already know that Jared is added to the team while S. Mercado isn't. The 3 players that you mentioned are good inclusion to the roster. I'm also thinking about J. Devance, J. Washington and A. Santos as good additional players to the team. Matt should not be included to the team, I haven't seen him effective during those games. Good win yesterday against Lebanon. I hope they will be this years champion in FIBA Asia.

Yeah. Now I am also thinking of Japeth Aguilar instead of Villanueva or JayR Reyes. I think Japeth is more good inside than those two. Of all the three you've mentioned, I think J. Washington should be considered but he has to improve his defense. Devance is still in injury and Santos is undersized for forwards. They should pick players who are versatile for their position and height. Jared Dillinger is a good choice because he is tall, quick, agile and has the bulk. He can also play point guard.

You're right on that leira. The better pick would be Slaughter and Aguilar because they have international experience already. Putting Parks would be redundant because the team already has many shooting guards.

My husband keeps talking about this and i have no idea at all except when i saw the news and they were congratulate for winning the cup. Well that is a good thing for our country i believe. 
but sad to say i have no idea which player should be in the line up more.. as well i never watch too much basketball maybe i might ask my husband regarding this one.

winning the jones cup is a big push for our campaign for the world championship slot. i think the current line-up shows the potential that it can win big in the most crucial moment of the game. although of course, there is still a need to improve but i will propose to keep the team and work on the chemistry and different rotation than add players.

Yeah. Thanks for commenting. Everytime Douthit sits on the bench, they lose their offensive and defensive plays. They need another big man that can give Douthit a rest without so much on the five on the floor.

I am not a fan of Smart Gilas Pilipinas Team but being a Pinoy, I am proud of what they have accomplished. As always the case, our basketball team is always lacking for a big player to man the post. Height is might in basketball. Mabuhay!
