Judaism is one of the most religions out there. This is actually Jesus' religion before he founded Christianity, Usually in every Christian Country and Even Muslim countries there is a huge Jewish community. From Europe to Latin America to the middle east. Even Iran,India and China have a Jewish community. I Just realized many Filipinos dont even know what Judaism is. They didnt know there is a religion that only believes the Old testament in the bible. This makes me wonder, Why this religion never get to penetrate our country?

Hi,
Judaism is a very important religion in the world, being one of the oldest religions among the early beliefs. If one looks at their unique way of life, a lot would be improved in the way people lead their lives. Take for example their laws, it is one and the same for civil and moral-spiritual guidance. Everything, from food to clothing to marriage to spiritual exercises can be found only in the first five books of the Torah, the first five books of the Bible: Genesis,Exodus,Leviticus,Numbers and Deuteronomy.
The way we live is far different then the Jewish people, Here we have laws for different situations, law of the land drafted from time to time, we have spiritual laws from another source oftentimes clashing, oftentimes not in consonance with one another.
That's how messed up our situation is, the Jews don't have this problem, they remain true to their laws, consistent and constant for thousands of years, ups and downs, but always faithful to their covenant come what may.

Though we can say they have a different belief, we use their books, Their books are part of the Holy Bible. but yeah they have differences like they dont eat pork and shellfish. I think they were not aggressive preachers as well. Other Christian sects gets widespread in the Philippines because of missionaries. Most converts to Judaism I think just volunteered by themselves, they were not convinced by preachers.

Well one thing we are predominantly christian and Jewish religion is so based on lineage, meaning if you must have either have a jewish blood or is married to one. They are not really the kind of religion that accepts anyone unless you have some kind of ascending from their race.
Also being tagged as the race that condemned Christ to the cross is something a bit awkward to many Christians to get this religion appealing.

Actually not all Jews are Israelis or arabs, there are Asian, black, Latin and arab jews I Think. It seemed like Judaism is not the type of religion that does missionaries and tries to convert people. They just spread via diasphora. I think the Filipinos in Israel dont convert as well since Israel have lots of Christian Churches available.

I guess if you get to marry one you can also be automatically converted to their religion. The Asians and other nationalities are most likely converted because they got married into one who is of Jewish origin.
I know a prominent family in our place the Bichara's were Jews when they emigrated from the middle east but then they converted to Catholicism after they applied to be naturalized Filipino Citizen.

I'm wondering where you got the idea that Jesus founded Christianity? This is completely unfounded, and you are in over your head. Jesus never founded anything even though he was a great teacher. Christianity was not dreamed of until several hundred years later, when it was hatched up to generate money!( which Jesus would never have condoned!)

I think it's because the Spaniards conquered the Philippines for 300 plus years, thus making Catholicism, the religion they promoted, the main religion in our country. Add to that Protestantism, which basically can be categorized under Christianity as a whole. For the most part it's a Christian country, with a lot of different sects in Christianity. The way the religious studies is being taught in schools is also done in the Catholic way, if you get what I mean.

Most Christian countries though have a huge Jewish community. But yeah Christianity is really widespread here, we have many sects of Christianity here. I think Even Islam have sects too but I think there is only one sect of Islam here. we have a buddhist community only because of Chinese, Indian and Korean migration.

Most Jewish settlements have been existing peacefully with Catholics usually in Europe or in America. The reason that they got along is because they have almost the same teachings. This is the reason why some European countries are comfortable with Jewish people but not so with Muslims since the Muslim faith is hardly integrate nor related to the Christian faith and life.

For a country who had been in the Spanish rule for more than 300 years, that would be good enough to suppress any other form of religion to be established here in our country. And if they are given another hundred of years or lower, we might become 100% Christian country.

Not exactly the Spaniards. Remember that the Americans are products of Protestantism . America became the refuge of many Protestants when they were no longer allowed to live in many parts of Europe.

I found out that at certain point of Spanish history, Spanish Jews are getting killed. I guess it could be one of the factors why the religion didnt get here

well we actually have a diverse sects of Christianity here, not all Christians here are Catholics. so the Spaniards did let other type of Christianity goes widespread.

I wondered that myself too. When I was in the Philippines, I don't know any Jewish people. I didn't even know it exists. But when I came here in the United States, I met a lot of Jewish people. My boss is even Jewish.

well most characters of the old testament are Jews. But yeah a lot of Filipinos who happens to be a Christian didn't know what a Jew is. Which is a shame because all Christians should know what is a Jew for we read the old testament as well. I lot of Christian countries have a Jewish community and we have well.... five hundred people.
