myLotters, good morning! Yes you can figure that I'm still in front of the computer instead of heading off to bed and catch some sleep. But whenever I try to lay my body in bed, I just don't feel like sleeping and milk doesn't help either.
What should I do =(

Hello there Van!
Sometimes I do experience same as yours, that i can't catch a sleep even I'm forcing my self to do so. One time, I tried to open my cellphone, connect headset put it on to my ears and play a melo/love songs. I found out that it helps me to catch a sleep easily. Maybe you should try this thing.
have a nice sleep! ^_^

Hi code_van14, thanks for joining and WELCOME to myLot.
I do listen to soft music a lot but just like what you said, even I force myself to sleep I just can't. But hey, you know what? Maybe you can share some of your music list to me since we're just workmates =D
Enjoy your stay here and keep myLotting! And oh, since it's your first day, don't forget to visit myLot FAQ page: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq.aspx

In order to get good sleep u should go for a walk before going to bed . U can also have a glass a milk before going to bed. U should not eat heavy food at nightas due to it u can face gas problem and it will not let u sleep. Before going to sleep just lie down and think of some good things in ur life and by doing thus u just go to deep sleep .

I tried drinking milk before but it doesn't help much =( what I did lately is to eat then rest a little bit before going to bed (I feel sleepy after that). Do you think its just ok?

For me, reading in bed is the best thing to send me to sleep, after a milky drink (like Ovaltine) that has malt extract in it. Some people swear by eating a lettuce sandwich just before bedtime - I have tried that and it didn't work for me though. If I've got nothing to read (and it must be light reading for pre-sleep time), I lie in bed and make up lists of all sorts of things in my head. I then soon fall asleep mid-list.

Hot Chocolate and watching tv helps me to fall asleep. TV has to be not that interesting though so I try to put on something that won't keep me awake. I've also heard chamomile tea is suppose to help, I haven't tried that yet.

I'm not much into tea but yes to coffee tehehe. I even tried counting like what Count von Count do on sesame street xD
Or maybe it's true that when someone is thinking of you, somehow prevents you from getting sleep.

I often have nights were I don't fall asleep easily, I imagine I am on the beach looking out at the sea and that warm sea breeze just feels great on my skin, and slowly but surely I tend to fall asleep. Then there is the television trick, putting something on in the background, like a shopping channel works for me as for some reason or other it makes me very sleepy. Hope you find something that works for you.

The things I do when I can't sleep at night i try to picture myself achieving my goals in life. I used to think about my future and make some pictures in my minds. By thinking about my future and goal it makes me relax and calm and get a better sleep afterwards.

hey friend,, let me tell you an interesting thing.....i.e. "our brain has a natural clock inside it"...yes that's true......!!!!!!!! and it has a fixed time of all the natural activities...i.e. when we sleep, when we feel hungry etc....and this depends upon the daily habits and routine.....
what i want to say is that when the natural time of sleep passes away its very hard to sleep,, similarly if you are hungry and didnt get something to eat, after an hour or so you can't eat that much when and will not feel that hungry....
so sleep according to that time when your body tells you that it needs sleep.....normally it is 15-25 min after the dinner and after lunch in the after noon.....
i hope it may help you,, try to understand your body and adjust with it....as they say "health is wealth " and one cant earn without a good health.all the best.....:)
