For advice. I don't think my friend still talk to his father for advice. Although he is still living with his father but I don't think that they were able to talk that seriously. And he doesn't contact her mom who has different partner already. So I guess those factors what makes him look for more attention and time from his friends as he does not have mother now to talk to and his siblings are living on the other relatives. So for companionship he is looking for time from his friends.

What our parents did really affects their children. There are always reasons to explain something.Parents have a big responsibilty over thier children. So they need to be responsible enough.

Sometimes children especailly teenagers don't like to talk with their parents, even if the parents are not divorced, as the generation gap really exists. I won't deny that some children have no generation gap with parents.
Many children tend to get comfort from their contemporaries, because they can understand each other more easily and better. So it's good for every one of us to have real friend.
Your friend can't get care from parents, and I think the divorce thing must make him sad, so it's good for him to get help or comfort from friend. As his friend, you will be helpful to help him. Have a nice day! And hope your friend is happy!
