An island near ours had a magnitude 7 earthquake and we kind of felt it. We've been having a few earthquakes this year and most of them i didn't even feel, but this one swayed our house a bit.. good thing it only lasted for a few minutes.

Which part of the Philippines do you stay? I am from the Metro Manila but I did not feel that earthquake. Earthquake is a scary thing to me. But all these calamities are bound to happen. We can't really be spared from these. All we have to do is just pray and ask God to protect us.

I think it happened some where in NAGA or leyte but they said the earthquake was really strong. I guess this is something we all have to get used to, otherwise panicking won't really be much help. I know there's a reason that this happens and it's a natural phenomenon.you're right i hope GOD will protect us

And just yesterday another one hit Mindanao area as well. I am just thankful that no tsunami was generated from this earthquake despite it happened deep in the sea. Although I heard that some houses especially those located on waters were either totally destroyed or just swayed.

Hello Lady, Yeah I have seen it in facebook of ANC and it was really huge, but we are part of the ring of fire within the pacific ocean. therefore, such quakes are inevitable. I was trying to feel it but i realize it was already eleven in the evening so I wasn't able to hear them. am sad now this is happening to our country again. i hope we didn't get the same situation as what happened to baguio.

I was a bit worried too about that quake. My family back home lives in Cebu and I've heard that it was felt there too. Well, we cannot do anything to stop such thing, but all we could do is to pray and ask God for protection. We should be very watchful and cautious as to be prepared for any untoward incident. I'm hoping and praying that no one was hurt as a result of that quake.

Thanks God epicenter is at the sea. if this was on a highly populated are or the metropolis it's dreadful to imagine the damage that a 7.6 magnitude could cause.

I was so worried about my family when I heard about the earthquake especially they live in Surigao where they live near the sea. I was born and grow up in the Philippine but I don't remember having that strong magnitude. Those are calamities out of anybody's control no rich or poor. Only God can save us.
