Do you know how many hours I was on here today?

I don't even know that's why I am asking you!! Far too long but it didn't seem like it. Cruising the Lot makes time fly.
I had so much fun today!
This is the most active I have been on the site and I hope to do so more often. It was so much fun that I will probably dream about it.
I think I made some friends? I hope. I talked on with Msdianit (not sure on spelling!) a few times and Hatley! And met a few others along the way.
I made a huge mistake those, so sorry!
I made the mistake of basically saying in a thread that you can't say "thanks" in any form which is NOT RIGHT!! You can. But you CAN NOT JUST SAY: thank you for the response without further comment.
How this occured was kind of stupid on my part.
1. Not paying attention to wording
2. Having too much fun and not thinking of the guidelines
3. Getting too excited and trying to joke slightly about guidelines
Lesson Learned:
Do not jokein any way shape or form about a guidelines, it causes confusion! Make sure you're paying attention to what you're writing when a guideline is involved and - - Don't let myLot excitement over take your brain!
Happy Lotting and hope you all enjoy my contributions despite my mistake.

Echo, i always like to drop by to this site for a while whenever i am able to online. I don't feel that i am wasting time here since i got the chance to meet and chat with members from around the world. This kind of opportunity is really hard to come by and i would grab it whenever i have the time. I think it is not wrong to make some mistakes while chatting in here. Everyone of us do made some mistakes when we are too excited chatting in here. So, don't worry too much and always enjoy your chatting activity in here. Happy posting...

I am saving all of my notifiers and Digests for the day that I will be retired and have so much time to be here the thought of just sitting in front of the tele watching the soaps is appalling but since I landed on myLot 'retirement' holds a new scope. Unlike gardening, it won't matter if the weather is bad either

I like that there are so many reasons that myLot is not a waste of time! Its different for everyone. It is also a unique experience too and glad that you can take part just as I can!
Mistakes are made to be corrected I guess, it was a learning experience.

Aww what a nice story for myLot maybe they should take it up and put it in a testimony section if they had one... that would be nice perhaps. It became your home here in the net, now its becoming mine.

yeah I understand how you can spend so many hour here on mylot. I like browsing through discussions and reading and then giving my input. I like talking about common interests or helping people solve their problems. It really bring me closer to people and I don't even notice the hours that fly by as I'm doing this. For me it's a relaxing and fun way to spend my time.

It is an enjoyable experience on the Lot. It can be very relaxing and somewhat thapeutic, who would have thought?
It has easily become my favorite site over all sites that I use. That is saying something, it is commendable!

"Cruising the Lot" I love that!
I always used 'crawling' until now but your expression fits better, except that I don't have a boat or paddles. I use skates
Certainly when you find the right topic(s) and right people it can go on and on and even backfire because your sleep can suffer too. I am so pleased that a fariry new Lotter has found their groove here!
As for making a mistake - aren't mistakes made to learn from them? No-one would learn much at all if they never made a mistake and just as long as it is all sorted now, it was good that you made it

If you too see users who say that they are struggling, and it makes you sad too, you can now probably understand why I try and help out so much. It is so easy to have fun here and having been here solong I have seen so many who think it is complicated and difficult when it is as easy as pie!
Whatever mood you are in when you land here, there is always something to do, even if it is only reading. I do sometimes only read ans I bookmark the topics where I want to participate for later, when my mood changes or I have more time.

Skates are good cause they can be in a lot of weather like summer or ice skates in winter... I dunno, I'm silly!
It felt like crusing cause it seemed to go fast but it was fun. Cruising sounds like something you'd say for something fun so that's why I chose that word.
I'm a little surprised how well it is going for me being kinda new. I read some people's posts that they're struggling here and it makes me a little sad! I have both fun posts and I try to contribute and be helpful on others. I guess I'm a mixed poster but its great and I love it!
Yes Forever_The_Lamb straightened us all out with a tutorial post... hmm, nice of him to take that time to do so.

I can understand that and I think its a great thing to do. If I see someone whom I think I can help then I will try. I think it is really easy here and laid back. My mind feels better when I am here, Is that odd?

"wasting"
When they is so much to learn here, so many people to meet and all while earning too, how can it possibly add up to "wasted" time?

@ilann1 Considering how much fun I had alone, yesterday, on myLot I would not call it wasting. That isn't even mentioning what I contributed here to the community in a good way to make it a better site. Plus you know all that I did was counted in my earnings and if I can do that every day? No, it is not at all wasted time.
@mysdianait Some people are really silly if they consider myLot a waste of time. . .

I enjoy being at mylot, too. It does makes my idle time worth it. It is such fun responding to different topics and also being able to help those who need it.

I see what you mean with "idle" time because even a little time here is enjoyable. I don't know how many I "help" but I help myself in a lot of ways!

I have spent hours at mylot and answered to quite a lot of discussions in my early days in here without knowing the rules well. However, I know what I need to follow before I write about a discussion. I generally take part in discussions that I find informative and I can give information to other members.

Its a good idea to be knowledgable about the guidelines for sure. Then if you see someone who might not know them you can help them along.

Wow. I wish I could spend more time on MyLot, actually, but then I have few real-world friends here. Plus, I used to get a whole lot of attention on Facebook, until I felt like I was being judged on there (I have family there). So I was looking for other venues to learn, talk and interact. Then I remembered my MyLot account and I think I just spent three hours on here!
I have a job though, for three clients, so I couldn't spend a whole lot of time on here on the weekdays. :(
Either way, happy MyLotting! :D

Ah I don't know how I would be if I had real life friends here if I would be more comfortable or less. I don't spend any time on facebook any more but I just check in there for what is going on with certain people. I don't have a job so I guess I am sort of a "full time Lotter" its not like a job though and so I enjoy it, thanks for your time!

Oh I have days like that and my brain too. Silly thing trying to take me away from myLot all the time. Either with being tired or I'll just get distracted and not be able to focus on my posts... grrr But any time here usually makes me feel better during the day so its alright.
Thanks for the encouragement and I hope you enjoy your 3 day weekend also!

I`m glad you like mylot. Don`t worry about your mistakes, we all made some. One of our mylotters, Lamb, made a post about the mistake you made. I reread the rules several times before I fully understood them.

I saw that. Hey I gave him a new tutorial topic to go on. But I felt a little silly and glad he was there to do that so hopefully people won't think that cause of me.

you know it's good to have fun thouh you dn't realize you are making violations. what's important is you had fun and enjoying this site is realy amazing feeling specially when you have gained friends whm you can freely share things with.
sometimes discussions are meant for jokes, which makes it more fun when you know all is welcome to join and feels like a group of friends just hanging along. being here can be more exciting when you know there are friends who will be there in your discussions and share all things they want to share even the stupid things they've done and you all will laugh about it...in a good way...

I've had a few good laughs here with my friends. I like to share my days here sometimes or just enjoy writing whatever comes to mind!
Now I've learned a few things about the guidelines and I'm doing better about staying in line with those on each post.

I am like you that I rarely start a discussion. although I typically get a lot of responses and that is a lot that I can talk about with those people. I usually just enjoy to comment on others though because I can't think of topics...

I am glad you were having so much fun here! I love MyLot too. I have been a little disappointed lately because I have had so much going on I could not be here as much. I had two birthday parties just this weekend! One was for my father and the other for my nephew. I was exhausted after my father's party because I only got home at midnight and then I had to get up super early for my nephews party because it's 3 hours away! It has been a LONG weekend for me so far. I am ready for it to end...I am so tired right now I can barely see so I am going to bed soon, if I can get off MyLot that is! I missed it!!

Yes sounds like you do need some rest after that long weekend. I hope you can rest tomorrow after those parties.
Life when I have it outside of mylot - (I don't typically I am kind of a loner and not much going on) then it will of course come first. since i have so much spare time then this is where I spend it. I have missed having a great online community to spend time on, now I have it again here.
I'm glad you had some fun with your family though in your parties. Those are memories that will last.

Oh i am a newbie and just only 4 months in online world but i could probably call my self one of the addicts now, most especially in my lot. The first time i came here in this site i found it boring, i was not active for several weeks but when i started to make my own topics and saw that many people are taking interest in responding, then i became excited and everyday... I shared my life and experience and continue to learn many things from different people....

Yes there are so many people that it will be very rare when you don't get responses on the topics. And even on the comments of those topics, its kind of crazy but so fun. I don't write a lot of my own topics but I only have a couple that are pretty blank and only one with no comment. But otherwise I just like to contribute, its addictive to give your opinions the whole day and be paid for it.
