I have been sneezing violently for over an hour!

I am so frustrated and tired. About an hour and a half now, I started to sneeze really hard, so I blew my nose in hopes of stopping it. It seemed to help for a while, and I decided to get some sleep, so I went into my bedroom and laid down to read. Suddenly, I began sneezing again-and they might be worse than earlier. But my nose is swollen shut-there isn't anything in my nose to blow out (and get rid of the allergies)! I know I need to go to bed-it's just after 4AM, but I hate when I lay down and I start to sneeze! Has that ever happened to you? Do you have allergies? I know I have hay fever pretty bad and im allergic to mold, but it's now ragweed season. How about you-do you have allergies? If so, what are they?

This happens to me a lot. I am allergic to so many things and suffer year round from allergies. Mold, dust, flowers, ragweed, grass, cats, most perfumes and colognes, the list goes on. It is frustrating and tiring for sure. I'd take a benadryl before bed so you can rest and get relief through the night, that is what I do. Feel better!

I fortunately am NOT sentive to perfume, but as I've gotten older, I've become sensitive to dander and cannot be around cats for any length of time. I had taken a generic Benadryl after the first attack, so I'm thinking there has to be something in my bedroom. I HATE allergies!

Scorp, Take a look at this site for your sneezing, if you're still awake www.earthclinic.com/CURES/allergies6.html It might help if you want to try it. Read down the page, the first entry was kind of scary. Hope this helps.

Oh, thank you for sharing! I finally stopped sneezing after I started the discussion (figures, right?) but because I had been foolish and had drank all that Pepsi, I was unable to get to sleep until 5:30 in the morning! I'm just waiting for the nap I'll need to take later!

I hear that there's a hypo allergenic pillow case that's supposed to help if you're allergic to dust mites. Next pay day, I've got to replace our pillows-one of mine has the filling coming out (stuffed in my pillowcase) and Jim's looks like it's seen a better day. I've tried Benadryl before-I wish that it lasted longer than four hours! I also need to do a really thorough vacuum in the apartment-I generally do only a quick sweep, but it gets dusty because of the carpet (which I HATE!). Plus having Yoda, who's been licking himself a lot and creating dander, doesn't help me either. Feel better Hatley!

I get itchy if it is too cold or too hot. I get this red spots all over my legs. Instead of scratching them, I rub the itchy part leaving a bruised mark . So every time the itchiness starts, I take an antihistamine tablet.

Oh my-having multiple itchy spots has got to be a downer at times! I've been getting eaten alive by Mosquitos this year.

It took some time for me to stop sneezing but eventually I was fine. The next day I vacuumed our entire apartment-I think that it was possibly due to dust since I'm highly allergic. I hope that you find some relief soon-do you have allergies too?

No, no allergies. But I hada a nose surgery and the doc said that this could change. I hope not. A friend got an allergie last year and he was 29. I guess it could happen at any time.

I didn't really have allergy problems until I was fifteen or so; they've worsened since I turned 30. But in the last few years , they have worsened considerably.
