Online earnings: what to expect of it.

There are so many discusions ( and hopes) about earning a good amount of money online. I guess it depends on what do we want that money for. In my country,I could not survive with the money I earn online and I don`t think that any PTC site will make us rich, although we earn much more if we can get some active direct referrals. I earn about $100 a month counting mylot, PTC sites, a couple of traffic sites that pay and a safelist. But I receive one day a dollar here and two dollars there. Meanwhile I`m also working at the sites that have higher cashouts. And sometimes I can exchange a link with a friend to get another referral. THe money I earn pays for my vacations but I could not earn so much either if I was not living alone and retired. How about you? What is your attitude towards the different ways of earning online? What do you get with it? Share!

yes, the money which we earn online is nothing , in India as well, its not a good amount, its not even sufficient for travelling or vacations, we can use the money only for recharging our mobile phones, that's all, i sometimes rethink as to why am i working online? sometimes i feel i am wasting my time and the electricity bills, but when ever i am at home i feel bore , and do some online works.

Exactly...sometime online income is not enough to pay electricity and internet bill...but we still do it because sometime we don't have anything to do except online works...

Well, I count on my mobile site to make money online. Promoting applications, games, dating etc. All for mobile services. Too bad, I couldn't get much visitors from US, UK, CA and some Europe countries. Cause thats a real big money I could earn.

I haven't landed it rich through the internet yet but there are a few other sites along with mylot that I have made money with and they have all paid me. Definately having referrals helps, I've learned that. Also, I've learned that holding onto referrals is probably one of the toughest things about earning online.

Hi Marg, your earning seems much better than me a lot. As for me, i don't really earn much from my online sites since i don't spend much time online recently. Even i don't hope to be able to earn big income through it since i am not an IT professional. Any money that i had earned i will cash-out and keep in my local bank. I will use them for buying gifts or other useful items. Sometimes, i don't cash-out but keep them in Paypal for me to shop online. Lets keep earning through online...

My experience of earning money online started about 3 years ago. I began to research online so as to try and find something worthwhile. With a lot of trial and error I did earn some money, even though it was very little at first. Then, in time I discovered that if I invested most of my time in writing are could earn more. So I started to write articles. In time I managed to make several contacts and now I have my own group of writers. Together we supply articles to several clients. This is now my work, and I am very happy with it. Everyone has his/her own experience of making money online. In my opinion it is one of the best benefits of the Internet. Who would have imagined 15years ago that we could earn money by using our computer? It is fascinating in my opinion.

Hi there Marguicha well if a person can earn online can earn as much as $200.00 a month then it can actually help a person survive for a month that is how cheap it is here in our country and actually my brother in law earns a lot online he is actually paying a monthly for a house that he bought for my sister for the two of them and he doesn't do anything or any other job besides being online but his work is a daily thing and he has several foreign employers.

I have never been ablr to earn that much online. But I guess that if the people I know could live with the kind of money you live with, I could persuade them to make a pool of online earnings, sharing legit sites to get enough referrals to work little and earn a good amount. But not one of my friendds here in my country would be interested. The minimum amount of money people earn here is about $500 a month. Life is expensive here though, as compared to some countries.

I don't make very much online. I work part time and have a small child, so I don't think I could do much more. If I had to, I would write articles for websites, I think, because I have done that in the past and made quite a bit. But right now, I don't think I could do that because I just don't have the time to do that every day.

I do what I can everyday and refuse to feel guilty because I cannot do more. You are working part time (I bet for better money than online) and taker care of your child. It´s more than enough. I congratulate you!

In my philosophy to this online earning, I do treat it as an additional earning for me. If I seriously try to figure out the net profit I can earn after deducting all of my expenses, I am sure to be disappointed. At this moment, I shall concentrate in whatever offline earning. Online earning will be in my part time basic or my another opportunity to boost my earning. No mater how, I shall not give up whatever earning opportunity I can.

I do the same. I could not pay anything of my normal life with my online earnings, so I see it as a game. My earnings go for vacations, but if I had to pay for the web with this money, I couldn´t go any place. So it´s an extra and I´m lucky to have enough money to live.

You are correct and I agree with you, with online earning which is a small amount one cannot even thinks of going on vacation. I am earning very small earning online but not worried as this earning is just for fun and may help to pay my phone bill once in two month not beyond this.

But I do save enough for vacations! I earn about $100 a month online. I could not live with it though because I need a lot more money to make ends meet where I live. But my pension is enough so that I can live on a budget and I can save for my luxury: traveling once a year.

Same you, my earning online is not enough for my living expense...and my earning online is very low also because currently i don't have much time for it..but i still do..because it is a hobby, it looks like i surf the internet and during doing it, i do some activities to earn extra money...money earning is low but i don't mind about it, i just like to spend my time on it sometime...

I have more time because I live alone and I`m retired. But there are some days that I just cannot do my work online. Still, there are some legit sites it`s worth to keep active. And when you do have time, you work more and earn some.

I never expect to earn my living from online earnings. But now online earning is a great help for fulfilling my daily needs. I decide I don't want to receive allowance from my parents anymore. Gladly, I've made it since a year ago. And online earning is one of the easiest and laziest way, since it doesn't require me to go outside :p.

Isn`t there a job, even part time, that you can get oofline? I don`t think that online jobs can be enough to be able to live from them, even if you lived in the US. But if you don`t have anything else to do, You can work online and earn some money. I earn about $100 a month but with hard work and had to get some nice direct downline first by excahnging sites and do more work.

I still live under the same roof with my parents and get free meal when I'm home :p. So actually, there's nothing much to be proud of. I wonder if I can fully live by myself from just earning online :p. I guess it will never happen :p

You must have heaps of time to be able to make at least a dollar from mylot everyday. I'd be happy if I hit that $10 lower cap in a month. Realistically speaking, it'd take me half a year before I get my first pay :D

I don´t earn my money from mylot only. In fact, I spend more time at mylot because it´s fun, but I earn a lot more with boring sites. And, yes, I am retired and my health is not very good so I spend several hours at my computer.

In my country, particularly in my place. A lot of people made online jobs as their main jobs and earned a lot, some made their lives more comfortable, build or improved their houses, bought a car, earn larger than any other regular employees. So if someone can hear that your working online here, people's perception is that you are earning a lot because earning dollars is quiet big compared to peso bills. But it depends on the skills and capabilities that you have. When I also had my 1st job online, I earned 2x more than what I earned working in the hospital. But now I'm still searching for a full time job online since what I got for now is just a part time job. I lost the first one I had right before our place was devastated by a flash flood.

How important for your economy is your work online depends a lot on your country´s economy and what you can buy with a dollar. Where I live, I could not pay my monthly bills with my work online. I suppose that I could buy the month´s veggies (and maybe some fish) with US $100. But here, there smallest salary is about US $500. Usually, people who work for that amount have to have two or three people in the family working and living together to make ends meet.

Hi marguicha, I always dream of earning enough money online because I don't like working for people. But still many years since 2005, the money I earn online is low, that is why I can't make ends meet. But luckily once in a while I find a job that pays, and right now I do a collect information job whereby I earn RM600 every month, that is enough but I still like to work at my own pace where I do not need to meet deadlines and target. Your discussion is good, I read all of the posts.

There is no way I could survive on these online earning sites - at least the ones I go to - even if I were single. Eight hours on myLot (or any other earning site I go to) would definitely never be near anything I could potentially make at a real eight hour job. Right now I am a stay at home mom. My husband and I agreed that I would go back into the working force when my youngest goes to school full time, which won't be for a couple years yet. In the meantime, my husband does well for us (but that doesn't mean we are rich by any means). But I want to be able to do whatever extra I can do to contribute. I've been able to get some guilt-free things for us with the earnings . . . recently it was a pub set (a table and 2 stools) to put in front of our kitchen window - and we're all quite happy with the purchase! And so, I'm here whenever I have the time . . . which isn't a lot. I'm slowly giving up the other earning sites after cashing out - I feel like my time could be better spent these days. But I think I'll stay with myLot as long as I can . . . it's a good place to hang out and chat with everyone about everything - and hey, the pay is an extra good thing!!

It happens the same to me. I live with my pension and save all my online earnings for vacations. I do earn less here than at other boring sites , but I spend much more time here because I feel it´s quality time.

I am new with this kind of "job" (if you consider this a job) or online earning. I am really looking forward on earning here because i would like to pay for my school / tuition fees. I am a kind daughter after all :) Also, i would want to buy things ( gadgets, clothes, shoes, accesories, etc ) from my own money.

IT depends a lot on where you live. Online earnings give more money in some xountries. I cannot have access, for instance, to surveys and that gives more money than other works here.
