What do we need to use in writing , head or heart ?

being a writer i think its better to use your heart so that you will understand more about the situation..

If you want to earn from your writing and be widely read, as opposed to just expressing yourself for your own benefit and maybe for a few friends, I'd say the writing needs to be a mixture. The idea and the compulsion to write should come from the heart, but to make it into something that others will want to read, you also need to use your head. Check the grammar, writing style, punctuation and sentence structure to make sure your writing flows and reads well. But unless you love what you do, it will never be really engaging, so you need to put your heart into it.

Well in my case, it is something different. When I decide to write, I am serious about my work, it may be for fun or for money but I do not write just for writing purpose. I try to concentrate on my writing work so that I am able to write well. However, if I get confused if I should write something or not...it means that my head is not working well. Then I need the help of my mind. It can think well and tell me if I am going to do right thing by writing something or not.

I think writing from the heart churns out brilliant articles. When we post on our blogs or write our articles and we write with our hearts, every thing will turn out perfect. However, we cannot always write with our hearts, especially if we are loaded with articles to write that we don't even care or know about. As long as we put ourselves on the right mindset, though, we can put a piece of our heart in whatever we write, be it about a very mundane topic or a review about something we are clueless about and come up with an article from the heart :)

you can always express yourself through your heart. Let the feel arise from there. Head can be used to get good vocabulary.

Use heart first by choosing what to write, because i honestly believe we need to write what's closest to our hearts. Use head when applying the techniques such as grammar and storytelling styles. Use heart when writing dialogues and weaving the parts. That's how I usually do it.
