I feel christmas is approaching when September starts even there is few more month before December, Few people will notice this ber month because tv shows starting a countdown for christmas in september, few people also starting to buy christmas decoration here... Even though halloween will come first...
But I know few countries are not celebrating this occassion, but here in our country christmas is one of the most celebrated occassion.
Do you notice christmas when ber month comes?
Do you celebrate christmas?
At what month you usually prepare for the christmas decorations / tree in your house?
How do you celebrate christmas?
Do you think I'm early to discuss this? Hehe
(sorry for my english) Happy mylotting! :)

Your English is very good and getting noticeably better!
I love Christmas! Although I'm alone for the last five years since my sons live elsewhere, I might be able to move near them before the holiday. I like my tree and all my ornaments that I've had for over 30 years, my nativity scene I've had for 40 years. I've dragged that poor little scene all over the country and occasionally have to refurbish it with fake straw and recently someone gave me a baby to replace Jesus, who was lost years ago so I used a small stick wrapped in cloth.
I go to Christmas Eve services at church and on Christmas day I continue my tradition that I started when my boys were little of having a birthday cake and singing happy birthday to the Christ Child. Although I just buy a slice now instead of baking a whole cake since it's just me.
Before Christmas I really enjoy the shopping, wrapping and shipping and on Christmas day I enjoy phone calls, emails from my friends and family. It's a wonderful day filled with holiness, joy and hope for me.

I also love gift wrapping, Actually I am planning to give my youngest dear neice, I really want to give her gift since I did not have chance to give her gift in her recently birthday, even the cheap one but will make her happy. Happy mylotting.

September excites me since i was still a child for this signals Christmas and holiday seasons. Yes we have the longest Christmas celebrations on earth but i think it as an advantage for it lifts up people's spirit despite the trials of life and calamities that passed our country. Normally we start decorating by September but this time my daughter and I are having second thoughts if we will do it this year. we had also been flooded during the last "habagat" episode last month though only below knee level yet this has somewhat deterred us from doing the usual practice in the previous years.

I understand you that your place is victim of the flood and that is sad to hear but I know that you will not decor your house because you need to focus on the affected area of your house. Am I right? That is okay as long that you know the meaning of christmas :) looking forward to your place recovery advance merry christmas! He..he..

A pleasant day RSantos026,
Time is really running so quick. For all we know, it is already December. And you got it right, some people do starts their countdown as early as September since the month has a "ber" suffix at the end.
And perhaps, I will gonna celebrate my christmas this year afar from my family. Although I will be far from them, but its fine.

Oh.. sad to hear that you will celebrate far from your family, it is very sad if you celebrate christmas, I also celebrate most of my christmas far from my mother, she is in the New Jersey working hard to have more money for I and my siblings future, even though my father and my sister is here in the Philippines and sometimes we can't also have chance to be together we are far also to each other. But sometimes if we had chance to meet we had a great bonding and happy moment, but we also think about our mother who is far from us that makes us feel sad. :( But you do you really celebrate it alone? Without any relatives?

HI, here in the Philippines we celebrate Christmas the longest, When the "BER" month approaches, you can hear Christmas songs everywhere, you can also see some decors in houses, streets and even malls, truly days are being so fast and you'll never know, it's Christmas already. But no matter how we celebrate it, the best thing is never forget the true meaning and spirit of this celebration, happy mylotting :)

Hi, friend
I just understand what "ber" months mean, when I first look at that title, I think it's a new word, and I find it in the dictionary. My english is poorer than you. It's intersting that there are several "ber" months in a year, I even didn't notice it.
It's wonderful that you celebrate the Christmas Day, I like Christmas tree, Chrismas songs and the food. But in my country, only the church celebrates that day, but still I can see many shop windows put up beautiful decorations such as Santa, Christmas tree and reindeer before Christmas. Really beautiful. Last year, I bought a Christmas tree, Chrismas stocking and Chrismas bells online for my daughter .
The most important festival in my country is Spring Festival, we have many activities for that, such as lion and gragon dance, lantern festival, and eating dumplings , put up red couplets on both sides of the gate. Most importantly, it is during the winter holiay, it's very cold(always below 0 degree centigrade) at that time and I can stay with my family without work.
Have a nice day.

Well it does seem early in September to already hear and see Christmas decorations and songs, but over the past few years they have started to bring up the decorations earlier and earlier. It is not uncommon for most stores to be fully decorated in November. It is still too hot to think of Christmas here, it still feels like summer, well it is still summer. Last week was cold it already seemed like autumn in no time at all it will be autumn and winter. Until you mentioned it I had not really paid attention to the fact that Christmas is just 4 months away.

You are indeed right. As soon as we reach the "ber" months then most of our people starts prepare for christams already. In our case, we usually wait til December to set up the christmas decorations. Though we can already hear shopping malls starting to play Christmas songs by november. Well, Christmas comes early in our country and stays long....

Your English is not bad, and it will get better by posting here. The ber. months mean winter is on it's way and there are many holidays during this time. But me, I love the colors and the cool weather. Christmas was always a big deal for my family and I use to start preparations as soon as New Years was over for that coming year. But now it's not so much, the family is spread out and has grown so large that we just don't do much anymoe, each little group gets together when they can. Blessings

As a parent though, the "ber" months simply is another man-made occasion as an excuse for spending money. My wife is now nagging to buy a new set of Christmas tree and decors as we are using our old one for five years now. And my kids are now planning what would be my Christmas gift to them. I can heard some Christmas song while on the way to work.

Hi RSantos! I was not aware of date because of my busy schedule these past days, but then last September 01, I received a Christmas greeting from a friend and that's the only time I realized how fast time flies. I love it when Christmas season comes. We are nearly done with our training and for sure I could spend more time with my family. My children would love to decorate our little house during the season. They would also bring out their savings so as to buy gifts for their cousins and friends. Christmas season is our favorite time in a year.

True. As a Filipino tradition, we usually welcome Christmas way ahead of time and that is usually when the "ber" months come. It is so evident in facebook statuses and some even greet you in advance. Some Filipino community, I guess I can include my family, already start to decorate their homes with a Christmas themes. This just shows that Christmas is one of the most celebrated occasions among us Filipinos. It is the time when families get bonded, especially when one member is away from home, and also the time when we celebrate our Christ's birthday. Happy mylotting too, and advance Merry Christmas. ;)

It certainly does start to feel like the end of the year is approaching once september rolls around. The weather starts to warm up (in my part of the World anyway) and that is a welcome sign that the end of the year is approaching and it will be Christmas and holidays and everything that comes along with it. I must admit though that the years seem to be passing quicker than ever these days and I am not sure that I want them to come and go as quickly as they seem to be!!

Hi there RS!
For Filipinos, like us, Christmas starts pretty early. I know some people who starts playing Christmas song in July. Indeed, Christmas is the most extravagant and most celebrated occasion in the Philippines. Actually, I've started my early Christmas shopping for my seven Godchildren. I am also hunting for a gold Christmas tree for our new house.

Christmas decors are started to be around again, the fact that we have the longest Christmas celebrations in the world. There are lots of things come up in my mind but I guess it would be just one at a time to avoid stress and to enjoy the season.

It is a bit early, but I really can't talk since I just bought my first Christmas present and am already starting shopping. Christmas has always been well celebrated in my family. It is the one time a year when everyone gets together and actually acts like a family lol.
