Visiting your family is part of love for your family because if you visit her or him, you will know his or her health condition and any need he or she is needed you can be able to help if it is not your capability. More to the point, visiting family according to religion is very good because you will get a lot of reward for that. So lets try to be visiting our families.

A lot of my family live close to me, so they all tend to pile in at mine, so I do not have to visit them.I think family is great, as long as you all get on with each other, as some of my husbands family do not get on together at all and there are not many of his family that are still alive.

Sorry but if this is the only reason you visit your family, to get rewarded by religion you better stay home. If you don't care about your family, just to it for the reward you won't get that reward anyway. If you do something, only do it if you really want it plus do it from your heart! I will surely not visit my family, the part I don't like and who abused me for years. BTW I don't see them as my family anyway. As a human being you also have the duty to educate, raise those who have bad attitude. Not reward them for bad things they do by ignoring the situation.

Regardless of religion, I think it is our obligation to visit our family.
I always visit my family.
I live far from my siblings and my parents.
But every year- once or twice a year we (me and my kids) spend sometimes with my family to have a bonding.
