Will you turn off your iPad or tablet when you don't use it?

I will not turn off my tablet. Actually I keep it on all the time. If it is low power, then I will charge it. Although it is convenient to press a button to turn on and off the tablet, but somewhat I still want to let my tablet on. Is this a good habit?

I turn off most of the electronic gadgets when i am not using them, my tablet is no exception. The only time i don't turn it off is when i am only going to go away for somethings else ten minutes or less, then i just let it switch on even i am not using it. Turning them off and then switch them on only take few second on all my gadgets, the short boost up process enable me to have this habit. Previously, when i am using my old computer, i don't turn it off because it took long time to boost, so i normally let it on most of the time from the minute i switch it on. But my tablet is a different story.

If you switch it off when you don't use it, it will probably save the lifespan of the battery. And more power will be saved for future use. It is an individual habit whether to leave it on or not when one does not use it. Have fun with your tablet, youless.

Yup your son is right , whenever the Package Data/ internet is on - the engine will search for some better signal of GSM/WCDMA automatically . It comsumes a lot of battery. Just switch off it , and the battery will be saved 3 times ;D

It seems many people will do something to prolong the usage of the battery.

I do not own a tablet nor an iPad. but I think turning it off is a good habit. Since turning off would save energy and would save you from radiation energy. Though honestly I do not do it :)

I think we all live with an environment with different kinds of radiation.

I turn off the wifi if I'm not using the internet to save power and turn off when not using the tablet. I read it from a forum, they said this practice help prolong the battery's lifespan.

Hi youless, it depends on your liking. Since you find more fun and convenient to let it on all the time, just enjoy your style happily and freely. even I know to shut down the iPad and tablet would prolong the lifespan of the battery I turn it off only before I go to bed. I just turn off the wifi when I don't use it for this also could save the battery power Happy posting
