Give Me A Bottle or Give Me A TV

It is often said, people drink to rid themselves of their problems. Actually we all know this just adds to their problems, but drinking to some, just delays having to deal with them.
I, on the other hand, do not drink to get rid of my problems. I just watch TV and soon realize, with all the trash on TV my problems are little compared to most. For example, I have never been stranded on an island and been forced to eat bugs, I have never been married to Mr, X who had an affair with Ms,Y and had a baby with MS Z all while robbing a bank and being on the run from the law. I have also have never lost my singing career on American Idol, or tripped while dancing with the stars, or even been buried in snow on Ice Road Trucker.
All that trial and tribulation reminds me of this quote:
"The answers to life's problems aren't found at the bottom of the bottle, they are found on TV"- Dan Castellaneta

I do think that if we are feeling especially depressed in our lives that television is something that can help us feel better about our own lives. I can also see that there are far too many people in the world that try to get rid of their own problems by drinking. However, I don't think that either of these options is the solution for me. Instead, I am one that deals with my own depression and problems in my life by getting out of the house and doing something, like taking a walk or whatever.
