My brother had a desk in his room, he never touched it for years. He suddenly decided since he's going to college he needs a neww desk.
My parents just paid a few hundred dollars for a new desk for him, and threw out the other one thats in perfect condition.
He is up there banging around, and throwin pieces around. I have a splitting headache from this loud banging he is doing.
I highly doubt he will touch this desk maybe use it as a storage pile like the last one.
I cant see wasting more money on an item you already have, dont use, and then throw it out.

Many people around us may have the same problem, we just love new things even some that are not required. So just learn to control and this can not only help to save money but also control the desire to buy things that useless. I feel so bad each time finding i'm doing the same mistakes.

lots of people do stuff like that. think they need a new one and throw the other one out. you should come to our city on big garbage day. its a treasure trove! friends of ours got a perfectly good desk which they used for their daughter. i remember when students were moving out of the private school across the street of where we used to live and were throwing out a dresser, which i nabbed as i was pregnant at the time. our youngest daughter used that dresser for years.

My only question is, when are they going to learn? They are just throwing away their money on him and he doesn't even seem to appreciate it.
