what do you think of contemporary music?

What do you think of the quality of music being released nowadays? Are they as good as the past oldies? And where do you think is the music world headed? Anything in contemporary music that you find interesting? Any songs or artists?

Honestly, it all depends on the musician, artist, singer, or group. I love contemporary music, but I am very picky as to who I listen to. If I don't like the song or the group, then I will never listen to it again, but if I do, then I will listen to it over and over again. I love Frank Sinatra. He will never get old to me, and I love The Carpenters, John Denver, Barry Manilow, Carole King, Carly Simon, and Elton John. They will always have a special place in my musical heart.
