We must be happy now if we want to bring happiness into our life. It's a simple formula. Happiness attracts happiness. We use many excuses as to why we can't be happy now. We have too much debt, our health isn’t good, we have relationship problems, and excuses of all sorts. Yet, no matter what the excuse, unless we begin to feel happy despite it, we cannot attract happiness. Do you think that you can you be happy now despite your circumstances?

I try to be happy as much as I can despite everything that makes me feel sad. I do not want to sulk in a corner and just think of unhappy thoughts. Happiness is a state of mind. If you think you can make yourself happy, then you can be happy.

Hi Pose: Yes, I can and I try it because I know hapiness starts right now and it doesn't depends on something in the future that is uncertain. I don't put these conditions because I am responsible of my own hapiness. Of course there are some situations and problems that makes it more difficult for us to smile but if we have the will and we share with others we can do it. ALVARO

For the most part I am happy everyday....just to wake up! You look in the paper and alot of people haven't been given one more day on earth. There are days when I have a set back like when my son's wife recently told him she wants a divorce..there was a few days when I was unhappy for all of us...but other then that...I can say I am happy.

Other said "Be happy" but the big question is how you can overcome your problem, situation, financial constraint and others - it is not you will forget your situation you are happy because I know being happy can attract happines - but how long it will takes? After a day or after a week.. because happiness is for short term only however is you attract JOY in our life whatever situation you have you can overcome it... later I will tell you why...

Hi visavis, Thank you for your response and remember it isn't what happens to us but the way we take it that makes the difference. No one can buy happiness, but anyone can be happy. Blessings.

I think so. I mean, no matter how big the problem I have, I always can make myself happy. At least by doing something to distract my mind. If I can't bear it, sometimes I cry until I feel better. Then I'll find something to make me smile again. Mostly I play games or watch movies. It works all the time under any kinds of circumstances.

As they always say, happiness is always a choice. It really doesn't depend on the situation but your attitude on how you take the situation is what really matters. If people will be focusing on their problems each and every time, they'll gonna end up miserable. Me, i always look on the brighter side of life. I always find reasons to be happy every single day. It is way way better than always finding faults on everything that comes our way. I always choose to be happy.

I guess the same can be said about positivity, positivity attracts positivity. Although for me I've always had a negative attitude with life, but that's to do with my core beliefs I learnt as a child, the difficulty is replacing negative behaviour with positive and changing your whole outlook on life. I am getting a little better now, thanks to antidepressants and weekly therapy but it's an uphill struggle. Getting the tools to be able to smile and look forward and be happy with oneself in the moment and to enjoy quality time with oneself in the moment, without having to dread or wish away our lives. I think the social and economic climate we are living in now is much to blame for our unhappiness and it is a struggle getting through and being happy. It's also stopping and appreciating things we take sooooo much for granted. Even the simple things like watering the garden can make us happy in the moment.

Hi wolfie, Thank you for coming here and for that response. It tells me that you are feeling better today. I have a sister who is 89 years old and she told me many years ago that she realized that it was her choice as to whether or not to be happy. She decided to be happy, and despite all that's happened since that time, and she has had her share of trouble, including health issues, yet she always seems to be happy. She has just her social security cheque each month, but that is enough. She is a joy to visit or chat with on the telephone. She has seven children who adore her - the oldest will be seventy next year. She has certainly stumbled on the secret of being happy and even today I often call or visit her just to get a lift when I feel that I need it. You are right about appreciating the little things, that's what's helping me too. Blessings.

hi dear Pose sorry first of all for the late answer but I have not been online too much during the last weekends and now I am playing catch up, and getting rid of a giant cold at the same time. LOL I am not well physically right now but that wont stop me from being happy. At least I have a good doctor who gave me sick leave till Oct 3rd included - got to see him next week for check up how the meds are working - and thats a blessing in itself. My personal situation has changed for the much better in May 2011 and I feel my life has really started then. I am free to make my own decisions, brain washing by family of origin is over and done with and despite the fact that not everything in life turns out the way I would like it, I am a very happy camper now. I treasure my personal freedom and thats what counts for me.

Hi RitterSport, I always treasure your responses and it doesn't matter if they are late. Thank you for coming here. I'm sorry that you had a cold but happy to know that you are feeling better now. It's true that sometimes we have to get away from our past to find our own personal freedom. Blessings.

Yes, that our problem we always looking for excuses, there are who think that money is happiness and others think that health is happiness...etc. I think we should be proud of our lives, and to love our families and others as we love ourselves to be happy.

Hi bestmoroco, That's a good comment and nothing outside of us can make us happy. Happiness comes from within. Few people realize this but even the rich often take their own life because they don't understand happiness and how to be happy, yet it is simple to those who find it. Thank you for responding. Blessings.
