Is it really true that Facebook is getting rid of all fake profiles?

Last month, I read at a site that Facebook's share price went down and that they aren't making much money. They hinted that probably it is because of so many spam profiles they have on there. The officials said that they are deleting all fake profiles to save their business. As a matter of fact, they already started doing it. But can it be really possible? I thought they depended on ad clicks to make money. As long as, the fake profiles are active, they will continue getting their revenue. Did you lose any of your fake profiles?

The officials taking good decission to remove the fake profiles. I watch the news on TV most of the persons are in facebook are fake their age is 50 and shows only 20. Upload dashing friend photo and flirt with girl. Facebook should take against those persons who are doing this. Facebook should demand the identity proof while creating account. Now really facebook user if loosing the interest in facebook.

I love facebook I dont know what I would do without it. I dont know if the fake profiles really have anything to do with them losing money but if they know the profiles are fake I think its awesome for them to go and delete them rather then let people keep doing this. Clutters up the site. I hate when people spam me on there. I dont add anyone as a friend that I do not know.
