Money - Money is a source of evil.

Since the day I've started to work in a company. There are a lot of things that I've noticing with my colleagues. They act as "type A" personality. They used to live in a luxurious life, but the truth lies beyond the materialistic things obtained. Pay day was the most awaited for each employees as their reward for working so hard. For me, I put the wage directly to my bank account for safety keeping. But some, they don't. They spend their money out of control: go to a bar, gambling, traveling to a nearby street lights, availing expensive gadgets or machines, etc. The result, the money they had flown away from their palm. Eventually, they are loaded of vouchers or incurred expenditures. The sad thing, they tend to ask cash advance or ask money from their co-employees to sustain their daily expenses until the 30th day of pay day. It is like living without money for 29 days or for some salary scheme in 14 days. The habit is like a cycle. When they got the next pay day, the salary will be deducted from their total net wage, since they need to pay the credits from the previous transactions. How about you? Are you a ONE DAY MILLIONAIRE?

No, I am my sole source of income so I have to be a bit careful to make it from one check to the next. It takes very little for myself but my children require a great deal of my income in order to live at a minimal level. I have little to spare but I live comfortably.

we are very careful with our money because we really don't have that much. I tend to buy only what I need to. I don't change things just because there is a new model or I get tired of looking at it either.

When I worked no I was never a one day millionaire. I had a family to support and bills to pay. Even if I didn't have a family to support I would not live my life in that manner. I need to save for a rainy day and do the right thing for my life. I think people who are one day millionaires don't have a clue on how to manage their money. Needing to spend it all in one day and then borrow from next month pay is crazy. I could not ever imagine living my life this way.

I am most definitely not this type of person. Instead, I am the kind of person that always worries about money constantly. I worry about money so much that there are times that I will even feel guilty about buying groceries to make sure that my children are able to eat. Now, my husband on the other hand, is one of those people that does have a tendency to go off the deep end when it comes to spending from time to time. This is something that drives me absolutely insane.

We have our pay deposited into our bank accounts and then use it to pay bills. For us, it helps that with the way we are paid, we have money going into our accounts each week, so it spreads it out a bit and we know we need to save it to pay rent.

I can't work anymore but was never like that. My bills always cane first before any fun time. One of my favorite saying is ;U BETTER SAVE FOR THAT RAINY DAY' because they do come around more often than we like. Good for u for taking care of your money.

Not me, I learned long ago to pay myself first. This means it goes in the savings account. Then I pay bills, utilities, rent, food and gas money. After all are paid If I have any left I can play. But I do like being paid twice a month instead of only once, it seems easier for me to budget.

I take good care of my money as I´m retired. I know it has to last me until the end of the month and I also know that there are extras you cannot avoid sometimes. So I save as much as I can. I use my credit card to organise what I must buy. But I pay it all in the same month so the only extra money I pay is what the Bank charges for having it. And, believe it or not, this kind of living makes me feel like a princess every day. I have money to invite friends for diner (cheap food, well cooked by me), I take good care of my clothes so the last ages and look good and I save my online earnings to have vacations every year.

I promised myself I wouldn't spend more than 25% of my salary on "fun". Luckily I've been keeping that promise for the past 6 months. I'd rather be a real millionaire that a fake one for a day. Bottom line is, it comes down to self discipline and personality. If I told those "one day millionaires" that I won't spend more than a quarter of my salary they'll laugh at me just as I'd laugh at them.

Money is weird; it's kinda like oxygen: we need it to 'survive,' but we're liable to waste it if we're given an extra amount of it ... Maybe that's a bad comparison , but the point is ... Well, it's like 'taking all you can' vs. 'paying for what you take' When you're a child, you think "if I can have the toy, that makes it mine!' As you grow up, you learn that you also have to have the 'piece of paper' that verifies the toy is "yours." I know that's not quite the problem you're talking about (people spending all the fresh money on stuff they don't need), but maybe it shows you why it's so easy to lose your money quick---to spend it like you're a millionaire one day and not have the money to continue to do so comfortably ... because your mind can't understand why you can't spend like that everyday. I know, because--when I "had control" over all my money (i.e. could spend with credit-cards, could withdraw as much as I wanted ... of the little bit I get every month)--I would blow nearly all of it on magazine subscriptions & 'night-ladies' in the first week and would scrape through on $10-a-week the rest of the month. To save myself from that (because my payments are small enough that a) it seems like I should spend it all in a week but b) I really can't, because there's not more coming the three weeks after that), I 'released' ('lost,' but making it sound like I meant to) my "independent"-status and now let my mom give me an "allowance" after my rent & cable/telephone/Internet are paid (although I appreciate that sometimes she has to "shell out" a little to keep my allowance the same).

Nope I'm not I always frugal and practical, I thinks nowadays we must be like this. Unexpected expenses or needs that's why I make it sure to save money in the future. Responsible one must know how to handle expenses and savings.

That makes no sense at all, although I have known many people who do that. It's one reason why there are so many poor people--it is a lack of self discipline and a need for material things that is more important to them than their future security. You are wise to safe. You will have enough to eat and have shelter in your old age while they are begging on the street or dependent on the state or relatives just to stay alive.

I used to be. Come payday I'd spend my money on stuff I wanted but didn't actually need, and didn't build up any savings, let alone investments. I wasn't even living a luxurious lifestyle, I just had bad spending habits. Then of course when I had to spend money on something more expensive than usual, there were no savings to fall back on, so it went on credit cards. When I look back on what I was like 25 years ago, if I'd just invested any spare cash I had in the stock market, and reinvested any dividends, I could well have been rich by now. Instead, I'm in debt, eating cheap food, putting off necessary household repairs and struggling to build my business up on a shoestring.

I am not a one day millionaire. I save a lot but I make sur emy family still have something to use for fun. Maybe these people who enjoys buying gadgets are people who believe that their value depends on their valuables. They are show up. Forgive them for maybe these are their first time to have freedom in spending or first time to have a lot of money. My parents have always reminded me that money is not the basis for happiness, fun, or life itself. So put the money in the bank and find ways to enjoy life without using such resources so when it is needed there is something to get.

im not like that^^ i do like you and i put it in the bank^^ the best is to keep the least money we can in our pockets. because if we carry it with us, we will have the temptation of spend it. in the bank its different. i only use my money when i really need to buy clothes or to offer a present to someone^^ else i will just let it stay in the bank so i can save it for my future^^ its ok to spend it going out with friends sometimes but i dont think people should use it in gambling and stuff.
