i think t depends upon society.in many countries act like this will result in a shame a and disgrace to the family and many people will bouycott the family.the idea is good for giving pleasent surprise but you should keep socirty in your mind and the resulting concequences.

Well, there are people who are dying to announce about their wedding but there are still some people who want to keep it as a secret. Not because they are the most wanted person but because they want to keep it simple and memorable. Some people may think that wedding could be memorable if a lot of people will attend their wedding, but there are also people who want to keep it between them and their family. Like my friend. I had a joke on her before that I must be there on her wedding day. But she told me, NO. Her boyfriend and her both agreed that they won't be inviting friends over to their wedding. It will just the two of them and the family of the two. She told me that that was really her dream wedding. Simple yet very memorable. :)

I think our wedding day should be about what the couple want . If they want to run off and have a secret wedding I also find that romantic . The day should be about what you want it dont have to be big wedding just your partner and you is really needed then you can tell the world after .

I think, those who want secret weddings are those people who are surrounded by family and friends eho are not in favir of the union. So instead of having the usual wedding celebration, just a few chosen people get to witness is- the ones that approve of their marriage.
