when seeing him even at first sight, you can tell it you yourself that this lad is a beautiful boy like what they entitled justin beiber. fair and flawless skin. right proportion of cheeks with its pinkish colour, nice lips and nose. he is really a pretty boy. but as you get near him, ulk, he smells stinky like of fish. i cannot bear myself getting and sitting with him for longer of few minutes or so. his bad body odour will really get inside your nose that will make you throw - up. so that is why when he sat beside me, i will find an excuse to transfer to another chair because to his odour. you know what, he is so very lovable but what is his problem why cannot smell himself. i am sure he is not fond of taking a bath always. grrr... he smelled like a stinky fish. but not late, proper self sanitation would be right for him: taking a bath or even wash - up. he must change his clothes also or know how to wash it to make it clean. only, if someone can give advise to do such things. for me, i knew him alright, but i do not have this spirit to tell it directly into his sight, not that so close. i hope his close friends and other classmates can tell it to him frankly for his own good. he got the looks and also this bad odour. so how to approach him. had an experience like this? what did you do to help him knew that he smelled not so goodly anymore? thanks buddies

I had a friend who was homeless (or who often 'camped-out' with the homeless), and he smelled like B.O.---like he didn't wipe or something. I think he knew about it, but the public library (with free Internet) told him that people were complaining and that they would have to kick him out if he didn't leave and clean-up before he came back.

gosh, that would be the most insulting part ever happened in my life if that one would happened to me. i mean, do we need this thing to happened before realizing that we are stinking the air all around us. how can a person do not know or refuse to know that ourselves becomes smelly already. what? no sense of smelling at all it is not easy to be around with malodorous person. what would be our mistakes that we are being punished to inhale their odorous body - . i just do not know too because i did not have a chance to talk with him personally to ask the detail. i do not have a strong spirit to approach him frankly even in a nicer way. thanks thanks thanks and sorry for this person :)

It's kinda the the way people put on too much cologne or perfume because they can't smell any difference between the first 'little bit' (spritz or dab) and 'all the rest they can put on' (re-spritz again-&-again, smear it all over, or just open it up and pour it all over). It's kinda your brain's adaptation of the smell you're surrounded in. For instance: right now, you probably don't smell anything odd (unless there's something different happening nearby ... something cooking, someone building something); but if someone visited, they might smell something there you haven't been paying attention to. (When I was young, I noticed my grandparents' house smelled a little different ... like a hospital or Altoids ("curiously strong mints"). But they didn't notice.)

i guess because they are used with the smell so they cannot notice it anymore as if it is being part of the smell in the surroundings, the usual smell so to say. first, inhale; second, brain to tell the kind of smell. you are right, for sometimes, as to use the same shampoo. at first time of using, you can smell what kind of smell it is. but later on, it is just like normal but when you use another shampoo, you can differ the great difference of the two. but of course, even somehow, still can know if we become stinky or not. thanks for dropping in here :)

at first, i do not understand the title. it is really like that or something was missing with it. but reading it did explained it all. oh yes, even a guy should have a proper hygiene. more if wearing shoes all the time. taking a bath would be of much help. me either, do not know how to approach a friend who is like this. i do not want to offend him too. but if no one would tell him, who would? thanks for this, for this thing awakened me to be clean all the time and have a good smell too

you are welcome. it is necessary for us to have a proper hygiene for ourselves and to the person we meet everyday. we are not living alone in this world and that we go everywhere where lots of people are there too. and we can use our nose to smell what our very self. we can take a bath, change the covers of our bed and pillows because these all will touch our bodies as we go to lay down our bodies to sleep. hmmm... this is intolerable. i hope it will awaken him. being around to this kind of person is like punishment at all. thanks for joining in here - God bless
