What is transcription?

I have noticed that one of the online work available is transcription but didn't got detailed information. Can anybody explain me what is transcription and what is eligibility for doing it ?

Transcription is typing recorded proceedings verbatim. In other words, a transcription typist would get a CD, put it into their computer, put on ear phones and then type exactly what is being said.

I've seen online jobs where you have to type out the words said on a youtube style video as well, I guess that's so it can be sub titled and searched for, never tried it myself.

I did a transcription course many, many, many years ago. Perhaps if you contact your local colleges, they could assist you.

Transcriptionist is a type of online job where in your going to type some datas on a spreadsheet or a word that you got from audio recordings. You have to transcribe exactly what you've heard from the audio. :)
