I got an offer

I woke up this morning and checked my email, I got a "bite" on my moped offer. They asked if I still had it and I said yes, then they told me the live in West Virginia. I told them that if they want to come see it and possibly buy it they can, but I won't ship it to them. They didn't even ask but I definitely made that clar. They said they'd have to think about it and would get back to me. So we will see.
I need to go out there and look at it again. I think if this person doesn't get it I will keep the ad up but will most likely offer the neighbors it, or ask a friend of mine if they know anyone or would like it themselves.
I want it gone!
What have you sold lately?

Uhm, how about a NO?
I am not going to just take up "the offer" as you said because this person could be dangerous, could try to talk me down on price, and could be the type who gets it home then decides it's a POS and tries to get me to give them back there money..

I agree! Definitely don't just "take up the offer without any doubts". That's silly. Natliegleb, was that sarcasm or is there a reason that you would tell someone that they "must" take the offer? I'm not trying to be rude, just want to understand your view/reasoning.

I must have missed some of your discussions, or some might have not found its way in my inbox...
Why do you want it gone?
I remember past discussions of yours trying to get this moped. What happened?
Don't take the offer right away. If they are sincere, then they'd make their way to come and see it for themselves. Then you'd know that they're serious.

Too dangerous. I am going to sell it and put the money from it's sell into my account and keep it there, add to it and get a car.. after I get my license.
The conversation went like this :
The potential buyer : Do you still have it?
Me : Yes I do
The Potential Buyer : Good I am interested in it, I'm in W. VA
Me : Okay well cool, but if you really want it you'll have to come here, I have no way of hauling it and the shipping would be way too much.
The Potential Buyer : I am interested but will have to think about it.
Me : Okay well just get back to me.
I listed it for $500.00, I paid $1200. I am not going to waste money trying to get someone to take me up there with it, especially if he decides not to get it. Even if I could trust the guy to wire me the money, I'd rather him come see it himself.

I have not sold anything for a while. Ebay is painful to list anything onfor private sellers. We have lots of 'cashfor good'type stores on the high street in the UK, and they are cashing in on the fact that we are struggling by paying at rock bottom but selling on for just short of retail. I have reached the stage where I would prefer to give items to charity shops to sell on rather than see a shop chain rip off both me and the buyer.
