Paypal Issues!

For starters, I live in a very rural area with no jobs. Like, literally, not one. Sooo...
Anyway! I had a paypal with a bank attached but I messed up when i tried to receive the debit card, I must have filled something out wrong because they limited that account. I don't have the information they want, or at least not a way to give it either: a scanner.
So I can't get that money out now in that account. I started a NEW paypal but it is useless without a way to get the money there.
I don't know if I can attach the same bank account to the new paypal because with the limit I can't close the account or take my bank off of it. I'm screwed.
I don't know what to do?
I kind of just gave up trying, in a way. I won't leave myLot cause its great here but the rest of my sites if I don't get money I can use, why bother?
Paypal sucks because you can't even request a check without a stupid credit card! Which I don't own.
Is there anything, any one could think of that I might be able to do, given the situation? Online bank, transfer from paypal, request a check? LOL that would only be allowed for $25 though and then have to make a new paypal etc cause of sending limit. I really, really, hate, paypal.

You are in the United States. You do NOT need a credit card to verify your PayPal account. You simply need a standard bank account (perhaps with a debit/ATM card attached). PayPal only limit accounts if they detect something 'irregular' with your account. If you try to open more than one account with PayPal, you are 99% certain to get both accounts limited or suspended until you contact Paypal to sort out the situation.
PayPal problems have NOTHING to do with living in a rural area!

You are 100% correct owlwings. I have had a Paypal account for years and at first I had a credit card, now I don't. I only have a Visa Debit/ATM card and that's all I use with Paypal. I can't understand what's wrong here other than what you mentioned with something "irregular" happening.

Yeah - you misunderstood.
I didn't mean that because I live in a rural area that it has ANYTHING to do with paypal.
I said I have no JOBS because I live in a rural area.
I know I don't have to verify with a credit card I said I can't get a CHECK from paypal without a credit card, which is true because they want an address.
The irregularity is that I typed in (A STUPID TYPO) wrong information and I can't contact a real stupid person to tell them it isn't an irregularity but a damn MISTAKE.
Okay I'm mad on that post sorry I will shut up now.

Yeah..
I'm okay. I'll calm down now
Because I don't think I should have to give them more information when it was not a real irregularity but just a mistake...

I know how frustrating it is when things do not happen your way. First of all, PayPal is a very trustworthy and a world-class online payment service provider. I have never had an issue using PayPal, in receiving, sending and withdrawing money. If a debit/credit card is the issue, i would suggest that you get one immediately and then log on to your PayPal account to verify your card as well as your bank account. Doing so will lift the limit off of your PayPal account. You can also request a check from PayPal once you have a debit/credit card. I would suggest you withdraw money on your cards, convenient and easy for you I suppose. If you have had two accounts find a way to contact PayPal, hopefully they will sort things out. But give them the exact information and do not hide any information that matter. Hope this will help solve the problem.

Thanks, I have it figured out now and I will add my debit card I got recently. That saves me a step that I hadn't thought of.

If you need a scanner to fix whatever the error was, can you take the paper that needs to be scanned to a friend's house or to an office depot type place and get it scanned there?
It's so frustrating when these little things end up having you jump through all kinds of hoops.
With our paypal account, we just transfer the money in it into our bank account. Might that work for you? I've never tried linking a debit card to our paypal account, so I don't know much about your situation.

Gah, how frustrating for you. It would be so much easier if you could get in touch with a person and explain the problem to them.

Well until I can get the information needed which might be hard or take awhile then... I can't put my bank account on a different paypal, they will limit that one too.
I guess I might just have to try to jump through the hoops eventually because otherwise it will not be possible to pay more than $25 online with paypal, anywhere....

I'm not quite sure what the problem is here. Did Paypal limit the card or did the bank limit the card? You mentioned you don't have a scanner...can you go and fax them what they want? I don't think I would have tried to make another Paypal account without correcting the first one...it doesn't sound good to Paypal.

Ok, let me see something here, if I'm getting this correct. I understand what you did now.
Do you still have a bank account that you use? If so, can you go to the bank and get a Visa/Mastercard Debit/ATM card? It might take a couple of weeks but if you can get one of those from your bank, you should be able to connect it to your Paypal account and just have whatever earnings are in your Paypal account transferred into your bank account. You won't need a check to do this, it's just a transfer.
If that doesn't work or can't work, why can't you fax them over the information that they need that you mentioned in your discussion. There is a free fax online site where it wouldn't cost you anything.

I will look into both,
The fax might come in handy in the future if I can't figure it out otherwise.

Paypal limited it for a mistake that i typed trying to get the debit card that is from paypal.
I don't think it matters if I have two open because I can't put my bank account on there again.

I am going to move in a different direction...
if (I said 'if') you do not manage to sort out your problems with Paypal and you are still unable to receive money offline, then you could still continue to earn online and use those funds to buy things online instead of off, no?

echoforever what a mess huh?
Maybe you should just take a day off and tidy up and then get back to us when you have sorted everything ow we shall feel guilty for having caused youto get in this muddle
raja if the money reaches Paypal, it is from there t5hat it can be used to buy things online, not from the sites where it was earnt

Yes, I may be able to do this.
I probably can not fix the issue though - they want verification of SSN (probably a fax of my SSN card which I've lost. . . woops?) in fact I just was looking all over the house for it last night for a different reason and it is not anywhere to be found.
that's just one of the items they want, they have others they asked for also

What you can do right now is that contact paypal support center and tell them your situation and tell that you can re-verify the bank account. What this might do is they can have more trust in you and your problem might be solved.

I've gotten it figured out now. I can't wait to get my payout from myLot now so i can spend it online or when I get the card from the bank I used. So I'm glad it all worked out!

You shouldn't have started a second account. Did you try contacting PayPal's customer service? You may not be able to get your cash in hand until this problem is resolved, but you do still have access to it. You can shop online at web sites that have a paypal shopping cart.

I am in India and that would still not be equal to the rural area of the US. :)
I have very good experience with Paypal. So perhaps you might try asking help. They take time, but eventually they manage to come up with flying colors. he he I am using idioms in English..:)
But it is a good online company to bank with. Trust me. It took us six months but we never had any issues after that. It will take you even less time.

I know this might sound like a lot of effort but just make a plan to verify your account and then you will never have issues again. I have a PayPal account and send and receive a lot of money monthly for various projects I run etc(consulting fees). Once you are verified(no need to get their stupid card) you can send up to $100,000/month with ease. Everything is just far easier if you set that up and also add a security key so your account is safe at all times.
Can't you go to a town close by and scan the documents or even purchase a scanner off Amazon(pretty cheap these days).

I've got it sorted now but I appreciate the responce. I will probably look on amazon for a scanner sometime because it would seem to be the only one on the planet without one probably.

Paypal absolutely sucks bro. Here in India, they are rejecing some identity verification documents (PAN) for no reason. I hate to use my friend's paypal account to receive my money lol
