Oh my goodness, first time I've been on the computer all day. It hasn't been that I haven't been trying. Couldn't get any wireless connection, even though I knew I was suppose. My husband realized that the wireless button wasn't on! Once it was on, shazam, I was connected! So, now that I've shared my "duh" moment with you, have you done anything "silly" recently?

that was so cute of you there stoutjodee i recall my grand ma when we gave her a rice cooker i told her that it will "automatically" cook rice so no need for her to watch for the rice as it cooks so that she can do other things more while cooking rice, then to her excitement she used it immediately, and just leave it, when it is already lunch time she is very exited to serve us her first automatically cooked rice, and slowly.... slowly opening the lid and there you go., the rice is still raw nothing happened, she did not plug the cord to the outlet and the she did not push the on button,...

I was trying to look for my glasses coz I was on my way to the mall. It took me about 10 minutes or so. Then my son steps into the room and asked me what was I looking for. And so I told him that I was looking for my glasses. Then he kept on laughing. He said I was wearing them!

I have done that before, but not recently. I did try to clock in on a phone system by dialing my home phone number. Did not realize it. Then asked at a work meeting why my caller ID showed a call from such and such a number. I figured out two days later that it was actually because I had tried to clock in and used that phone. Glad you can be on now. I am actually headed to bed. One more work day this week.

When I was a newbie with computer and internet I encountered lots of silly moments with it. But over time I learned a lot. I thank the internet for teaching me lots of things about what to regarding computer and internet issues. Now I don't panic anymore.

WE all make all sorts of mistakes, friends. I did something very similar about a month ago. I turned off my old computer thinking about saving energy. I did not realise that I had also turned off the modem which was needed for my laptop downstairs as I donĀ“t have a WiFi. IT took me ages to discover that noone had placed a bomb inside my new laptop.

I felt so silly, because we spent a lot of money on this fancy laptop and it was working fine yesterday! Was in a grumpy mood because I couldn't get on mylot to visit with everyone!
