How to study properly for standardized tests?

Does anyone have any tips for it? I know not all standardized tests are same. CBEST and GRE are easy while GMAT, MCAT, LSAT and ACT are considered hard. There is also a myth that some people are just expert at taking these tests while others can never pass them. Whatever it is, I need to know which techniques are best at least for the math section.
