Happy Grandparents Day!

In my country, we will be celebrating a Grandparents Day this coming Sunday. I grew up without granddads and only with a grandma from my mother's side. I did not have that close relationship with my grandlola maybe because we were just poor then. Even if I was not that close to her, I still give something every time I have something to give her. That is just to appreciate having a grandparent from the Lord. I do things like that because I thank God for her because without her, my mother will not exist and so, won't I.
Do you have anything significant that you treasure with regards to your grandparents? Well, I do not have that sweet moment with grandparents. Your memories may count significant to share. So, share some.

Hi,
I am 54+ so I don't have any grandparents. But in my childhood I had very nice days with my grandparents (parents of my mother). When I had vacation I always went to my grandparents and enjoy the fun with them. they used to tell me stories, took me to garden for playing and so on. My father's parents lost in his childhood. He had a step mother and she was not kind. So I didn't have attachment to her. Enjoy grandparents day on Sunday and happy grandparents day to you also.

Yeah,most of children enjoy moments with their grandparents. It is a practice that during vacation time, children are sent to the house of parents' parents. Telling stories is something grandparents commonly do to their grandchildren. Thanks for the response.

When I was born, I did not have grandparents neither on my father's side nor on my mother's side. But I used to have a great "grandfather", who was my neighbor. This old grandpa was nice and kind to me and left me a very deep impression. I consider him as my own grandpa because he taught me a lot when I was a student. He taught me English and my interest in English was all due to his help. Though he is in another world, he is always in my mind and I bless him in his world as always. Thanks for the discussion.

Happy Grandparents Day, everyone!!
woow... this is the first for me hear about Grandparents day. where countries celebrate this day?? It's amazing that some countries celebrate this and dedicate one day for every grandparents in the world. I never lived with my grandparents because they lived in village. the last time I met them is when I was kid -more than ten years ago. but I'm happy for those who celebrate this with their grandparents, this could be touching moment

Happy Grandparents Day to all! I grew up with my grandparents it think for my toddler years I do have many and kind of experience some would be worst or happy. the funny thing are right now my grandparents age right now at 83 and having difficulty of memory already and she didn't even notice she have a kleptomania and all of us already adjust already with her were just enjoying having her in the house.
