Any ideas?

I have been trying to motivate myself to start exercising and eating better, but I never seem to actually get to it. I am really not sure where to start. I never had a weight problem until a few years ago. I was always skinny and could eat whatever I wanted. What is a good way to get started on the journey to weight loss? I know if I saw some results I would be more likely to stick with it, but it seems to take so long.

Well i can understand your situation. But always remember one thing. If you want to achieve something then you have to take the initiative. At first we all draw conclusions and several thoughts come to our mind but we need to be strong and be focused rather than thinking about anything else. You need not hit a gym rather start following a balanced diet and go for morning and evening walks on a daily basis. You can very soon see the results in front of your eyes. What say?

Thanks for your response. I have started walking more since I have a new dog, but it just doesn't seem to be enough. I never thought what I ate was horrible since I do like fruits and vegetables, but I do drink a lot of cokes. I tried to stop once, but I would get a horrible headache everyday.

to start a weight loss for me is to reduce fatty food intake you may try drinking more water than you used to before eating any fatty foods, in that way you can avoid to overeating fatty foods easily because your stomach is almost more than half full...

I think going through the various motivation stories and also the true stories of people who lost weight and also it is good to watch television programs that shows weight loss.

Hi cattibre. I understand how you feel I've been there. Before I was skinny and can able to eat anything I want but suddenly i gained weight and it hard to lose weight. The good way to get started on the journey to weight lose is to be focus and set some goals. Weight loss can be fun if you have goals and focus while doing it. You can start by telling to yourself that you love your body and make a big decision if you want to become healthy or stay unhealthy. Stretching and walking every morning are a good start to lose some weight and do not forget to drink water upon wakening because it will help you to lose weight and flush all the toxins in your body.
