I have recently started back to college and am trying to decide on a degree. As I have looked through the choices offered and the classes you must take to get that degree I noticed something. Has anyone else ever noticed that some of the classes they expect you to take while in college have nothing to do with the degree you are going for? Why does a dentist need to take a history class? Why does someone going to school for a history major need to take 2 or 3 math classes? I have almost decided that colleges make you take all these extra classes just to waste you time and take more of you money. Wouldn't it make more sense just to have a student focus on the classes pertaining to the degree they are going for?
