How Could An Angel Break My Heart?

When I was still in college, I love singing this song. At home, at school and anywhere I went to. I used to hummed it's tune whenever that I'm doing something. Now that I am married and with a 1 year old daughter and just this morning, this song just came to me and then I got these questions, what was the writer of this song has in mind when he was writing this song? Was he heart broken or maybe someone he knew had a bad experience about love? Or he just wrote this song out of fiction and nothing? How could and angel break someone's heart? or can an angel really do it? What do you think?

I think 80% of it says, it was written because "He was heartbroken or have experienced having a broken heart, with someone so special to him that he can compare it even to an angel".. :

I guess so. But I'm still stuck with the question " Do they wrote it for real or some of them just wrote it to have something for the purpose of releasing a new song?

We don't know, maybe you should try ask to lyricist or a composer..or a writer perhaps. To find it out.. But I really think its 50-50, It depends on the person itself writing it.
