A friend of mine had this idea They would spend the night in trains, freshen up at stations and eat at fast food counters and this eliminated stay in hotels. There are round trip rail fares which perhaps you could find out about. This is just a suggestion. Anyway how much are you willing to spend?

I have no idea how much I'll be spending to travel in Europe. I am sure a lot of prices of things and services have gone up in the last few years. So, I don't think it's going to be 'cheap', unless I go camping instead of staying in a hotel. But it's not safe, is it?

Camping may not be safe but being in a train with other passengers may pan out for you. I have not done it this way. I too have seen part of Europe. I took a package holiday covering France, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, U.K. Holland and Germany. But we saw a small part of each country.

Europe is always a dream destination for many.
Due to their currency and cost of living, it is
relatively more expensive compared to Asian destinations.
Many holiday makers will find a budget flight and accomodations
for Europe trip. I absolutely agree with you that their scenery
and architecture ... absolutely breathtaking!

Yes that's right...I've been to London and other parts of England, also France. Only been to these two Europe countries and have seen absolutely breathtaking scenery and architecture. So, I am sure there's more...

You could look on a website like Flight Scanner to see the cheapest flights from Malaysia to Europe. You could see the prices for Singapore and Bangkok too in case they are cheaper. In Europe you could have a train pass possibly Euro Rail. That is sold to people that live outside Europe. You could stay in dorms in youth hostels and backpacker hostels. You could write a list of European destinations that you wish to visit. Sleeping on a train is a way to save on a nights accommodation and move when asleep. You could do that when leaving an expensive destination. Youth hostels and backpacker hostels have self catering kitchens and so you could buy groceries at shops instead of eat out. Remember Western Europe and Scandinavia are pricey compared to Eastern Europe.
I will suggest some destinations for you.
Expensive cities are London in England and Paris in France. Cheaper cities are Prague in the Czech Republic, Budapest in Hungary, Dubrovnik in Croatia and Krakow in Poland. I recommend pretty places like Salzburg in Austria and Cesky Kromlov in the Czech Republic. Romania and Bulgaria are cheap countries. I camped in Croatia and Slovenia. You could try out couch surfing maybe. Good luck planning your trip.

There are a couple of things you can do to save money in Europe. If you plan on visiting many different countries I would suggest a train pass. The train pass is not cheap, but when you have bought the train pass you will be able to travel by train as often as you want during one month, two months or three months. With a global Eurail pass you can visit 23 different countries in Europe. If you want to visit one of the countries outside the global pass you would have to buy a separate ticket for those countries. I don't know how old you are, but if you are younger than 26 the Eurail pass is less expensive.
The cheapest types of accomodation are camping and hostel dorms. Hotels are generally more expensive and in my country it is very hard to find any cheap horel room so a hostel room would be a cheaper option here. If you visit both Western and Eastern Europe you will notice that Eastern Europe is less expensive. Things aren't as cheap in Eastern Europe as they were in the past, but there is still a price difference.

Europe is such an amazing place to visit and i hope that i can make it one day by myself. Life is short so i should really discover the fresh new things to enjoy this wonderful land. You can try your best to spend the lest money and we can make it one day.

Yes, very true, there are many places I like to go there...too many I wonder how long does one really need in order to cover the whole of Europe. One year will probably be nice but I have to hit the jackpot first huhu...
