I wouldn't consider myself FAT like my mama calls me.. (Good thing I don't have low self-esteem). My mom told me its from the asthma medication I'm on because it has steroids in it & from what she says, my stomach has always been kinda big. I tried the Tummy Tuck belt.. And I didn't like it because I felt like it wasn't doing anything for me. Before I try (buy) something else, I wanted other suggestions I could try. I'm back to just running a few times a week and doing situps before I go to bed. Is there anything else that works for anyone else? Preferably free or not expensive suggestions please and thank you!

you can do a morning run regularly, every day. Usually this works well to lose weight, to get the most you should do it routine. Maybe you could also try skipping, it's easy and free. If you make exercise a habit / routine, I'm sure you will not realize that one day your weight has gone down quite a lot.

I will try the morning run.. I just hate getting up so early since I have 8am's every day of the week.. lol. So that's my issue. But I will give that a try.. Maybe I'll just go running late evenings like I was doing. Thanks for your feedback. :)

The only thing that you need to do is to burn more calories than you're eating. A lot of people either underestimate the amount that they're eating, or overestimate the amount that they're burning off through exercise. If both of these things apply to you, then this will be the main reason why you're finding it hard to lose weight right now. You should try cutting back on unhealthy snacks, and seeing if there is anything that you can do in order to make your meals healthier that you eat every day. Make sure you're eating lots of vegetables and not too much junk food- although a treat every now and again is okay.
With regards to exercise, I have found that ditching your car and walking everywhere is great because it means that you're burning calories AND saving money at the same time, which has to be a good thing. A lot of people think that doing exercise means that they have to join a gym, but this just isn't the case at all, and many people manage to stay fit and healthy without actually having to go anywhere near a gym at all.

Yeah, I think my issue really is am I burning enough calories??? Some days I don't eat that much, but then there are other days where I KNOW I pig out for no good reason.. I've cut back on unhealthy foods and stuff ALOT! When I first came to my university last semester, I was eating bacon EVERY single day for breakfast, and getting chicken tenders, quesadillas & something else for lunch/dinner.. It was horrible! I don't even eat like that at home so I think it was just having that little freedom from my mom that was going straight to my head! Lol. But now, I barely eat bacon (except for this morning, but it's been like 2 months so I thought I could have a little treat). Yeah, I definitely try to get my veggies in. I have fruit cups and most of my little snack packs are 100 calories. I don't have a car so I LITERALLY walk EVERYWHERE!!! Here and back home. But I'm going to try even harder this semester. My goal is to lose about 20 pounds altogether.. But I'm shooting for about half of that right now. :) Thank you for the feedback. It has helped me out!

Personally I've become a big fan of exercise and the South Beach diet. Within the first week of the diet alone, without any exercise, I lost almost 10lbs. It's not some fancy diet that you need to buy "special" food or anything nor do you have to starve yourself and you can find what foods you can just by googling south beach diet food list. If dieting isn't your thing the only other suggestion I have is to exercise and watch what you eat, especially sugars and starches.

Yeah, don't fall for those scams! You can exercise for free - run and walk. You should also quit drinking soda (if you do) and start drinking LOTS of water instead. Possibly replace one of your meals with a protein shake of some sort. Best of luck to you!!!

If you just look a little bloatrd coz of the steroids i think it would not be hard for you to shed off the extra pounds. the exercise that you are currently doing is a lot of help. you just need to be patient in achieving the weight that yoy want. also a healthy diet could also be helpful.

Read the other comment below yours! They definitely gave me some great incite on things that I forgot about. Fruits and veggies are good, but that's not all you have to reduce yourself to eating for dinner. I would say do some research as well too. I go to GNC and look around and even ask questions too. I tell them what area I'm struggling with and they will give you lots of suggestions. I recently went there and bought this stuff called SafSlim. It's all natural because I can't take just anything since I have asthma. You take it before you eat, and you are supposed to consume it twice a day. I usually do it once in the morning or early afternoon (I don't eat breakfast that often anymore), and then once before dinner too. They also have protein bars/shakes that will control your hunger for about 4-6 hours. But the main thing you should do is just eat food that are low in calories.. It's hard.. But I'm willing to work harder at it. :) Maybe you can find someone who will workout with you too. I have a friend back home who went running with me and it helps because that other person is there to push you further and further. It's always good to have support and that extra motivation! Good luck!
