I always loved reading since I was little. I mostly read fantasy/fiction. The only romance novel that I read that I liked was 'Dear John' by Nicholas Sparks. I think that is the only one that I've read from him that I liked. I haven't read any romance novels by other authors though. I just don't like when romance novels goes to sickly romantic. My favorite book series by far is the Harry Potter series. I grew up reading it and so sad that it's over. I don't like the movies as much though. I am a bit of a purist when it comes to books being adopted to movies. I hate that they changes so much in the story.

I do like Nicholas Sparks. You know you will have a good movie/book if you get one of his. Harry Potters stories were great adventures. But I think my favorites are romance and true crime. I have a problem with some books being adopted to movies. If they don't follow the storyline it can become quite a disappointment.

You know you are so right. Most of these books/novels that have been adopted into movies rarely fail to live up to the expection that the book readers have accorded it, this, in turn fails to amuse the book lovers and somehow changes the perception of the writers followers.
Like me, I have been looking for the bourne legacy and the continuation of the bourne series after legacy, but having watched the first 3 of the series go to hollywood (adopted in movies), where they currently live.
I have finally lost interest in the whole bourne series, promised myself not to see the bourne legacy until I read the book, might have lost all interest in books by Robert Ludlum, because those movies didn't depict one good storyline that correlates with the books, except the struggles of Jason Bourne against his former lifestyle.
Too bad, screenwriters all over the interest aren't getting bad to write movies and plays, because these directors and movies producers are now so dull; DUH.

I like reading but not fun or magazines but I like to read GK books or news paper. If romance novels start reading then not like to leave it in middle so no take a chance to read it.

I feel a bit silly but the things I enjoy reading most are Graphic Novels. I am not so much into Comic Books like Batman etc, I found myself falling in love with Harvey Pekar's American Splendor. I can get these trades at my local library so I can read them and not have to pay for them.

I agree with you, i don't like books becoming changed movies. I think they should dedicate a whole tv series with episodes depicting the true essence and story of the book.
Well, for me, i like science-fiction, mystery, and self-help books. In that way, it excites my imagination make me more imaginative. I also like reading real-life based story about successful people. Good choice of genre by the way. Good day to you!
