Your information is incorrect.
The country with the most mobile phones is China with just over a billion. India comes a close second and Pakistan is 8th on the list with under 120 million phones.
As a percentage of population, Pakistan is well under the average of 79.86% at 68.6%. Montenegro is the country with the highest number of mobile phones per person. It has a population of only 672,180 and they are said to own 1,294,167 mobile phones - nearly two each for every man, woman and child!

Oh, i thought the philippines has sent out more sms and mms and even calls more than any other country in Asia? haha well i am not sure about calls but The country has even been called Text capital of the World right? so pakistan has now got the title then? probably people have outgrown sending sms, because of the internet, and viber messaging, and yahoo, etc. whatever is free, is the better option!

That's strange because kids, seniors -- everyone has cell phones in the U.S. Some people have more than one. But it is also funny that whenever I call my cell phone provider it sounds like I get a customer rep in Pakistan. Maybe they get lots of freebie phones for working for the cell phone companies.
