since youtube and other video uploading sites are very rampant, showcasing one's voice is just one click away. I want to know how record labels react to this situation??

I think record labels are using the same digital mediums like youtube and other video uploading sites, for what they are doing too.
So I don't think it's their end. They can still be there and do what they do. The new media coming in isn't something that is going to kill them, instead they will just use it too.
