I'm currently listening to Listening to Perfect Pitch Ear Training - Master Class by David Lucas Burge to enhance my musical skills.
And I got bored.
I mean, I used to be so into these lessons in the past and I think I did pick up a couple of pointers along the way.
One thing's for sure, it's better to pick up a guitar, play a chord over and over to familiarize yourself with the sound and work from there.
I learned how to identify notes by playing bass. And back then I didn't know anything about music. I didn't even know what an A Major was.
That's what led me to buy the Ear Training CDs in the past. I used to pop them into my walkman and listen for hours until my batteries died. Back then we had these things called Walkman by Sony and we used triple A batteries to make them run. Music came in the form of cassette tapes and CDs. Yep. I'm that old.
Anyway, if you want to train your ears, pick up an instrument and make a couple of mistakes along the way.
This is a more practical way to get some ear training and getting a basic form of perfect pitch. This is what one would call a "musician must have".
