Hi mylotters, I came home after one week and was cleaning the mess. Husband had kept wires all scattered and when I was cleaning light had gone and in the dark the wire of the charger got pulled by my leg and bang the laptop got pulled also and fell from the table.. Gosh it was gone. the screen was totally damaged. God, it took like more than $100 US to fix it. I am so worried that money had to go wasted there for my mistake. I feel very guilty because at this time i can't afford to waste any money. What do you feel about this? Have this happened to you anytime?
Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

It can't blame you because you it happend by mistake. Any way, now you need to find some alternatives. If it cost such a huge amount for a replacement, you can get an LCD costsing half of it. You can use the printer connecting socket for the external monitor and change the display to the new monitor.
I am using the same method at home to protect the laptop screen and I got a nice big LED 21" monitor and I directly connected to the monitor and the laptop screen is off, while using the laptop.
Check for a 15-17" LCD monitor and find the cost of the same. It the price is almos the same, you may have to think which one would be the appropriate and using a damaged screen is ideal for your eyes.

Things like this does happen sadly, and you clearly use the laptop for money making purposes. I have dropped my laptop a few times and have never dmaged it, guess I've been lucky. Sometimes you could get a new laptop for a few hundred dollars more, depending on what you want, and how old your current laptop is.

yeah my husband was telling that we buy another one and sell this one but it is like 2 years old and it had no scratch and all since i had kept it nicely. after falling there was only screen damage while other parts were very good and we had the whole laptop serviced also in the same cost so it was beneficial in that way. Yeah me also use the laptop for money making purposes. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

From this lesson, you must avoid for not making any unnecessary move or sabotaging anything if you are not in the right mood and atmosphere to do so.
Normally, I shall have a rest and observe everything before I work on my place.
Never do it in the rush. At the end, I shall not be able to make my work better. I have to spend more money and times to clear the mess I make.
About your computer, I advise you to send your computer to a well experienced technician to check and repair.
If the cost is too high, it is better for you to get a new one with the same brand and same model if possible so that, the existing faulty set can be used as your spare part later.
Good luck friend. Observe clearly before we make any move in future.

i have broken a few things myself... By accident mostly and well some bevause i totally forgot they were nearby. Anyway it was rather going to be scary though for me if i had accidentaly broken a llaptop... Even if it was mine because of the expenses... And yes it was rather an unnecessary expense. Thank God i have never done anything like this that would cost me. Whew...

Hi riya!
Yes, it was indeed a unfortunate accident which made you lighter by $ 100. I can understand how bad we feel when this kind of incidents happen and we just watch as spectators.
It is, therefore, that we should always concentrate on the job which is in our hand rather than distracting. Also, we should not try to finish our job in a hurry. Many accidents happens because of hurry.
Have a great day!

Yeah I will have to take extra care now. I have always taken care of the laptop and there no not even a scratch on it. it is about 2 years old computer and one can't tell it. It looked totally new and it is the first time it fell and was damaged badly that is what hurts me. Never mind, just have to be very alert next time. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

yes this kind of things do happen when things just fell from our hands or from its place..but specially I always take care of my laptop and desktop and other essentials and also make my children follow some rules so we do not incur the extra losses because of this..you see this is one kind of losses which should be minimized to the least...because they are unnecessary expenditures arising out of our carelessness so a little bit care and cautiousness is required..I am sorry but you have to spend the amount to get it repaired...but it happens and you have to accept it as even after most care sometime this things happen...

yeah i have it from last 2 years and it had never fallen or had any scratches. it looked fresh and new still. this is the first time such thing happened and it was very bad effect of it. Have to be careful more to avoid extra unnecessary expenses where we are trying hard to cope up with life. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

Hello riyauro. For me, i never actually experienced what you have experienced but i have watched a friend accidentally destroys a System Unit in our troubleshooting class. Well, he destroyed most of the motherboard and the authority charged him to pay, since he does not have that much money, we helped each other out, canvassed, etc. Well, it was pretty fun when we paid it all. It kept our bond stronger. Cheers~
I hope your laptop would be in better condition with good pay that makes you happy. Thanks for letting us share our stories. Good day to you too.

It was nobody's fault there. Accidents really happen. Unexpected htings happen when we least expect it.
I felt really bad also when I lost my new cellphone, months ago, but I recovered for a weeks. Now, I only buy those not so expensive things, affordable as it seems. Planning to buy a new laptop because my wife needs it for her online gigs and also to reduce electrcity usage cost. Don't worry, things will be ok , i'm sure of that.

Oh no, I would have felt the same if that happened to me, which I hope will never happen. I also cannot afford extra costs and definitely not because of my carelessness. At least, look on the brighter side, the laptop is fixable and you are not hurt like you're not electrocuted or wounded. Be careful next time.
