Can I clean my nose piercing with Witch Hazel?

Witch hazel is perfect for piercings-it doesn't "burn", and is an effective astringent. If it's a new piercing, I would also suggest an antibiotic ointment to speed healing and prevent infection. Witch hazel is also supposed to help speed the healing of bruises. I've "tested" this at home, and it appears to be true.
