An odd "wish" I have

So, we all have things in this world that we wish we could change, or things that we wish were different. And I have kind of a weird one, and I was wondering if you guys have ever thought about this, or feel this way too? I wish that insects would die faster. I'm not saying I wish bugs would be wiped out. I'm saying, when a bug is mortally wounded, I wish it would just DIE! I have seen crickets with all their legs ripped off stil alive and squirming around. It's awful!! I even saw a cricket IN HALF (I could actually only see the bottom half) and IT WAS STILL MOVING! That is like a nightmare to me!!! I just wish bugs would be alive so long after being "killed." I don't like thinking about ANY living creature suffering.

Insects are designed to survive in almost any condition. That is why they will outlive other life forms on earth. It is sometimes sad to see them suffer, but they might not be.

Well yes, they're designed to survive, but really, what chance does a cricket with no legs have? There are some bugs you know are "mortally" wounded, yet they continue to live! I think the larger the insect, the harder it is to see them suffer. But even saying that, my crazy self has saved ANTS from water before soooo...yeah...haha

ODD it is! How about the home lizard (the ordinary brown in color found at ceilings)? Have you seen their tails being cut off and the little cut part is still moving? That's crazy for me. Thinking does it NOT hurt them? I agree with your wish, especially with roaches. Actually, I sometimes wish that there were no roaches anymore. They freak me out, seriously.

Okay...yeah...If I was going to wish one insect out of exsistence it would be roaches. I literally have nightmares about roaches chasing me! Lol I feel bad for all living things that seem to be in pain. I'm not sure how much pain those lizards that can make their tails fall off feel though, because they make it happen.

Yes, I think the lizards who can make their own tails fall off to save themselves DO grow their tails back.

Hmmm, I wish that too. Same with other flies and ants and mosquitoes. I wonder why God created the insects. Do you think the lizard's tail grows back?

That's not a weird wish, but a very humane one. I've often wondered the same thing myself. We know how we would feel if one of our legs were ripped off, so we feel the same way for the tiniest living creature with its legs etc. ripped off. But then, do they feel pain the same way that we do? Do they have the same amount of nerves? Do they sense things the way we do? I understand that butterflies taste with their feet, so not having feet might be like not having a tongue. How does it feel to have wings? No human will ever know! Whether they feel pain as intensely or not, I wish that whatever happens to them, no matter how painful and violent it appears to us, they feel a lot less pain, or better yet no pain, than we imagine they must be feeling.

Yeah I don't know about their pain threshold either. Maybe since I'm so worried about it I should do a little research! Maybe I'd find something that would calm some of my fears. But then again, even if they don't feel pain, they MUST feel stress right? Being so small, surrounded by a world of giants? Not having a way to get away must be very stressful!

I have to agree with you. I've seen some animals that have been hit by cars or trucks and they are still alive and dreadfully injured. You know they are going to die but there's nothing you can do. It makes me terribly upset. It makes me sick when it's obvious that some of these animals have been deliberately hit. WHY? Why do people do that?

Exactly the same way I feel whenever I saw an insect or animals dying or badly hurt. I have seen pictures uploaded by bad people on the net wherein they slowly kill an animals. Those people acts more animals than those poor animals that they are killing :xxx

Oh it's disgusting! Those people deserve to be shot (but of course they never will be). I have seen two videos of two different guys beating dogs (kicking and hitting them) in elevators! And I think I heard there was a 3rd case...when did that suddenly become a trend!??!

Definitely 'odd'! But I see what you're saying(writing). I have seen some insects that are missing a leg or a body part, and just go on their way. We just don't focus on them because most people just don't deal well with insects. Eeww!

Well if the insect is able to still get around because their only missing 1 leg or 2...I don't feel too bad for them. They're mobile and seem more than capable to continue on with their bug lives haha. But it's the ones that can't get around, and are just squirming in one spot on the ground, that make me feel bad!

I want to fly a dragon flies with their tail tied up with a long chord. I want seven or eight dragon flies tied up with a long string or chord so that I can see them flying and if possible they take off my room partner up into the air. Really I need it. I want them to fly on my command. Hail dragon fly king and act as I wish. I need them to be stronger to fly with more weight as it need real effort pull up a person into the air. I need them to fly even faster beyond their limit so that long journeys can be made without any penny spend on the air tickets. What do think about this idea?
