Why do people like drama

Why do people like drama so much? I have a friend that is constantly calling me saying something horrible has happened to her. All her boyfriends have beat her, she is always sick, she can't get a ride to her kids Dr. appointment. Could this much bad stuff actually happen to her all the time or do people just like the attention drama brings?

i think they like drama becouse they can go back and tell that person what said and it is getting old it need to stop

some people recognize that there is so much to feel for in this life. and they take seriously all these feelings in their lives. they get paranoid and numb and hardly they can think well. the drama in their lives is what keeps them going. it is also what gives meaning to their lives. that's why they are attached to it.
