I was quite surprised to open a text message yesterday because it contain a notice that someone’s text or phone load was transferred to me. I was not aware of the umber and guessed that the sender might have been wrong in placing the last digit of his intended number.
The Philippines is no doubt the the capital of the world. Because of easy sharing and conventional rates, many people are sharing their load to others, especially if the said recipient needs the load for an emergency. We have termed the material and the practice as the pasaload.
Since the pasaload is readily available, many friends or a group of people use to for helping someone to recharge other people’s load capacity and ability to end a quick message. However, since we are dealing with whole phone umbers, there are times when we do send a pasaload to a complete stranger.
For my benefactor, I gave him a smiley as thanks. I was bracing myself for a ‘Who are you’ reply but it never came. At least, I acknowledge that he gave me a free load.

Well, if you own that number, I would like to reiterate my thanks. If you did bot, still my thanks. I think this happen everyday to many subscribers here in the Phil. With some people owning a bunch of cellphones, p0hoe numbers can easily mixed up or missent. I think it was the right thing to do - it was given for free for one.

I have the same story Jeanne! I was hurrying that Monday morning as I don’t want to be late in the office. My cell phone beep once, I ignored it. Then another beep, so I was somehow obliged to take a look. I opened the message and saw two messages from the network. I’ve got two 10 peso load. Who could have given me this load? I don’t remember that I have asked anybody to load for me. But I just ignore it since my focus is on how I could reach the office on time.
When I reach the office, I received a message that the load was mistakenly loaded to my number. I noticed that our numbers are similar and it only have a little difference because of the order of the numbers. So I replied that I am willing to return the load. But the person told me that it is not important anymore. He shared some stories then I thanked him for the load. Now, we are friends already.

That’s a good development. This is also happened to me. Ignored the first beep since it could be anybody or usually a message quote. When it beeps for two times in a row, I went looking and had an additional load from a stranger. Usually, people who sent these kind of message also brush off the load since it is quite a low amount.

Indeed I was lucky. But I think the supposed recipient might be disappointed that he or she didn’t get her supposed load. And it is also a loss for the one who had the load before me. I expect that my smiley was enough as thanks.

15 pesos. Not much but it can be a godsend when you really need it.
