It is unclear which you mean of the following: "It is a defect today (in these times) to be yourself." "It is a defect to be yourself today (but yesterday and tomorrow would be OK)." "In order to be yourself, [thinking about/living for] today is a defect." or a number of other interpretations. It is never a "defect" to 'be yourself'. Self-knowledge and being true to how you perceive yourself is one of the strongest tools in the pursuit of any worthwhile goal.

Big difference between essence and appearance not only say it's a long way to be yourself. You look different than you does not trust itself to be vulnerable and you relate yourself to expectations. When looking always to measure up to expectations that are not yours do not have how to be yourself. What bothers us to another person is nothing but mirror our problem. To be yourself requires you to be true to yourself, reporting not only give you an idea of ??the level at which you stand. The image formed on the image others passed through the filter of their values ??is unrealistic because it is subjective. But it worked. If someone says he is wise, but according to their own evaluation system believe untrue statement, reporting only serves to situate what I above, below or in agreement with the statement. But I will get better. However if you manage to be yourself. Large discrepancy between truth and appearance is but we face a vulnerable, in a continuous internal war without form and content, content only borrowed. It is very good that 'birds of a feather flock together. "That's why we get to have mutual friends :) What I can remove the image created about someone are criminal actions and compliance with content from my system of values ??in another proportion, totally different. Otherwise, everyone is entitled to privacy, and if we declare that we know everything about ourselves would need to have the title of master. And we do not have. Thanks for response.

Why is it to be a defect? Maybe, pretending to be not yourself, today, is a defect. :) You are lying not to others but to yourself. :|

My vision of the new man is the rebel in search of self, his true face. A man ready to throw all masks, all prefabricated characters, all hypocrisy, ready to show the world who he really is. And if you have loved or condemned, respected or booed, crowned or crucified, for it will be the same, because to be yourself is the greatest blessing of existence. Thanks for response.

People who want to control you want you to believe that being yourself is a defect. The reality of it is that being yourself is the FIX. God gave everyone a different view to guaranty mankind a larger view than any one person could have. Do we really want to eliminate views?? Diversity has always been a Strength!!! Let's not wish it away so quickly.

I think it is right that we have to be ourselves. Just listen to our heart, and sometimes just less regrets in life. Life is also not perfect, that decides our fate but still we have choice to choose how to make this journey great. Thanks for share.

I do not understand why today is a defect. To me it is full of possibilities. If you are referring to the fact that today is September 11th then that is all the more reason to understand that today is a day of hope and a day for the future.
