Has anyone ever thought of writing kindle ebooks as a way of generating passive income. I have seen a lot of things on the internet lately about how publishing ebooks on Kindle is a great way of generating passive income, because it is basically free to publish and then you earn money for every sale you make. I do wonder how difficult it is, and how hard it actually is to make sales. Has anyone actually had any experience in this area and what was your success like.

Kindle is basically a platform for selling and buying ebooks. But anyone can publish their books on Kindle providing they have the right formatting and that the books meet a certain standard. Amazon takes a percentage and the publisher - you - takes the rest. So you have to have a book to publish, and then you have to make sure it is formatted correctly and upload it to the kindle platform, and then market the book.

Hi inmyopinion, I have been looking into different platforms in the eBook publishing business and there are so many options to choose from. This makes it very hard to decide which platform is the best for one's purposes.
I tend to lean toward Amazon because they are the better known eBook platform and I don't hear a lot of complaints from authors not getting paid their royalties. An author just has to do their research if they wish to self-publish their work.
If an author can find a topic that people are interested in and build an audience around said topic, then who knows, you just might get that best seller. Promotion is the key to success.
