The UCI cycling world championships were held back in April. I'm don't follow cycling religiously because the sport is really not that big where I come from. I did some searches online and I'm at a loss as to what championships you are referring to. I'd like to look it up. Could you provide us with a link or an official title to the event so that I can search it.

Finally just found an article on this. Don't know why a search didn't bring it up. Just stumbled across it. Looks like the UCI road cycling world championships start this Sunday in Limburg, the Netherlands. Personally I'm rooting for Canadian rider Ryder Hesjedal.

The last world chsmpionships where held in copenhagen last year on a beutiful late summerday presenting copenhagen from its best. The race was won by Mark Cavendish who by many experts i mention as the big favorite. It seems to a flat road thier are ridding on with very few hills and I believe no mountains so and ideal route for the sprinters.

The course is well suited to Mark Cavendish's talents. Holland is pretty flat. My family originates from there and I did get to visit when I was young. Don't remember once seeing something I would describe as a hill never mind a mountain.
