Hi mylotters, Does anyone here ever have this kind of treatment? SMR sinus treatment is laser treatment for sinus and allergy. I just had this treatment last week. How did you feel after this treatment?? Right now, my nose still feels stuffy and I feel like I am having influenza. The doctor told me that this condition will last until 2-week-time. It is time for my nasal to recover after the lasering treatment. I wonder, if any of you ever had this treatment. Share your experience please.. Thank you.

Hy Hestylim sub-mucous resection? Ummm.. I ever heard that but I haven't had it as my treatment. I had sinus and it made me so sick that I couldn't go anywhere but home for about a couple days. But my doctor didn't allow me to do some minor surgery , then I was given some broad spectrum antibiotic but it didn't work well. My dad suggested me to take another antibiotic and I was healed by it. Well but I have heard about smr , the patient generaly will recover within 2 days and start noticing a gradual improvement in congestion at about 2 weeks that levels out in six to eight weeks. And most of them have symptoms as you are having now. I know it would be like a hell to have that condition , but I know you can deal with it. I hope you could be better soon

Thank you for the prayer. You are right. It will get better through time. Now I don't feel too bad like before anymore because this Monday I will reach two weeks time after the treatment. My doctor in my city always give me antibiotics to heal my sinus allergy too. He told me, that I am too sensitive that I need some small surgery to deal with it. He said he would do some procedure to reduce my sensitivity of my allergy. Then my family asked me to go to check to Penang, Malaysia. I went there to check and the doctor suggested SMR treatment. He said, SMR can cure my sinus and I do not need to take any medicine in the future. However, this time, I still take the medicine he gave me to maintain my recovery after the treatment. He gave me nasal spray as well. Do you still take the antibiotics??

I stopped taking the meds after about a week . And I never have sinusitis anymore after that . Umm...If I'm not mistaken, the antibiotic that I took was called Girabloc. What are meds that you've been taking so far?

I forgot the antibiotics and the nasal sprays I took few years ago from doctors in my city... but I still know the medication I take. LOL.. just because I still have the medication... haha The doctor gave me Aerius for morning, and polaramine for night. Iliadin as nasal drops, and nasonex for the nasal spray. The taken medication only be taken for 2 weeks after the SMR treatment. The nasal drops, he gave me when I first did my consultation with the doctor at Penang. He told me to finish one bottle only. But he told me to keep using nasonex nasal spray for 6 months. I am glad that the doctor didn't give me antibiotics.

Wow, I am sorry for your friend. The doctor in my city told me the same thing, too. That nothing can cure sinus problem related to allergy. He suggested me to do surgery as well. However, my family didn't allow me to do the surgery. The doctor did tell me that the surgery won't cure me. He told me that it would only reduce my sinus sensitivity. I hope your friend got the cure his sinus one day. :)

thank you! :) I am glad to hear that your sinus never occur again. Yeah, actually it feels like hell when sinus attacked us. Hopefully after this treatment, I don't have to suffer sinus anymore. In the past, I always sneezed so many times that I couldn't count anymore. It was killing, really... I hope I won't feel that again in the future! :) Thank you once again
