My Mom told me earlier today that one of our neighbors in our Pre-Katrina neighborhood suddenly passed away from a extremely rare autoimmune disease (he was sick didn't get better after a few round. Of antibiotics, happened upon the rig Dr who diagnoses him. This happened over a month). The news didn't bother me that much. Now that it's later in the day, I have read posts on their daughter's Facebook page, I have all of these memories coming back of their family. I'm starting to get sad about him dying. It's catching me off guard. Yes, I grew up around them, their daughter is a few years older than I am. She was our baby sitter at one point I can't say I felt closer to either one of her parents. I don't know of I am mourning him, still reeling from the 7 yr anniversary of Katrina, or thinking about my parents who aren't that much younger than them.
Have you ever known someone for many year, then not seen them for a long time, find out they passed away and was upset?
