I just want to ask you my fellow mylotters if sugarcane juice can surely attract people if I will put up a sugarcane juice business. Do you think sugarcane is something that people might want to try these days? They said that it has a lot of health benefits so I am trying to sort out now if it will be feasible to put up a business for sugarcane juice. Share your ideas to help me out. Thanks.

You'll go great. In India its a very normal thing. Two guys travel from one place to another with their special sugarcane juicer on wheels and do good business. I don't think that you'd like to travel with the heavy instrument. I think you'd want to setup the juice facility in your shop. I think you'll do good business as people love sugarcane. Its much easier to drink the juice than chewing the sugarcane to get the juice out of it. Kids will surely like it. Also it has health benefits, in summers it keeps the body cool for a long time. So elders should get attracted too. But I'd advice you not to rely on sugarcane alone. If you're really serious about this juice business then try stocking a few more like, grapes, pineapple, orange (compulsory), milk shake, etc. That way if someone is not interested in sugarcane, he'll still have a few options to choose from. The more service you can offer, the greater will be the turnover. That's the basics. I love sugarcane juice. Each time I see a seller or a shop, I can't resist myself from having a glass full. Maybe someday when I'm in th Philippines, I give your shop a visit. All the best with your business ahead. Good day!

keshlois143 If you have access to sugar cane and think you can make a profit I say go for it!! I used to buy and chew on sugar cane stalks ..I really loved it. I don't know that I ever thought of the pure juice but it's a good idea. Do your research and provide the known health benefits along with your product. I think it is a fabulous idea and wish you lots of luck!!!

Kesh, sugarcane is a very delicious drink and i like it a lot. Selling sugarcane seems quite a good business in my area here, as i can see the sugarcane uncle always have good business without fail. The only problem is, you must be able to stand the heat from the sun since your stall must be at the roadside, to be able to attract customers. When i was a little child, my parents had planted a few sugarcane trees behind our house. Whenever we are free, we will extracting the juice by chewing on the sugarcane stalk. Nowadays, sugarcane are being sold quite expensive in my area here.

Hi friend MYFB! Yes, sugarcane juice is likely costly because the capital required for it is quite much. I could not even imagine that we have been adding more expenses from day one when we had purchased the extracting machine. You are quite right to say that it is delicious drink aside from being healthy. I like it too ever since I was a child. And yeah, sugarcane brings memories from our childhood, huh! God bless.

when i was a kid my father had planted sugar cane at the back of our house and i enjoyed extracting juice from it by removing the skin first with a big knife then cutting the skinned stalk by about 1 to 2 inches and chewing it to get the juice. Selling sugarcane juice is new to me and had no idea if it would be profitable. However if you are already aware of an existing one, it would help a lot if you make some research first.

Hi namiya! I loved sugarcane, too. I used to have it right where it was planted. I was then a kid and it was still so easy to squeeze it with my healthy teeth. But now that I have grown, it seems so hard to have it in the same way. Thanks anyway for sharing your memory with sugarcane..ah with your father.

If there is a feasible market or this business is marketable to your place then go on with it. But if it is not the scenario over there and they people do not go for it frequently you should apply some combinations and cast down the sales report. I think if the sugarcane is abundantly available there at best prices then you must take the chance. And if it is just as much priced as other fruits and vegetables you can try a combination of two or more juices. Mixed vegetable juices are much in trend these days as people are getting aware of new facts on how to be healthy. Anyways go on with it and Best of Luck.

Well, sugarcane is also seasonal. In our place, there is a supplier but only good within three months. We already settled with the farmer-owner of the crop last month and we only have two months to go from today. Thanks for the wish.
